Rumour: 343 Industries Developing Halo 2 Anniversary?

Posted By | On 08th, Jul. 2012

For all the hype that surrounded the next Halo, 343 Industries chose ab odd target for their first Halo production: Combat Evolved. This resulted in Halo: CE Anniversary.

It was a nice, solid update to the game we first fell in love with, and looked great. Of course, Halo 4 now blows it out of the water completely, but it was still a great effort that resulted in a fun game.

However, it’s now becoming news that Halo 2 Anniversary may be in development. Official XBox Magazine UK reported that:

Following the success of remake Halo Anniversary, 343 Industries has now started development of Halo 2 Anniversary.

Of course, Microsoft had it’s response ready.

Our focus right now is on developing Halo 4 and producing Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn. Beyond that, we do not comment on rumors or speculation.

So who to believe? The fact that it’s a possibility can’t be ruled out, that’s for sure. More details as they surface.
