Sea Of Thieves PC and Xbox One Cross Play Officially Confirmed

Plus, new 4K screenshots shared, too.

At Gamescom, Rare confirmed something that I didn’t realize hadn’t been officially confirmed already- that their upcoming shared world pirate adventure game, Sea of Thieves, will feature full, seamless cross platform play between the Xbox One and Windows 10 versions of the game. This means that you can play with your friends on PC, then log in from Xbox One, and continue playing with those same friends.

It also means that you will run into players from the PC and Xbox One versions of the game, populating your world. It’s pretty cool, especially for a game like this.

Microsoft and Rare have also shared brand new screenshots of the game, in glorious 4K. These screenshots emphasize and showcase just how visually appealing the artstyle of the game is (which is really the primary component in having a game look good). Sea of Thieves is due out on Windows 10 PCs and Xbox One in Spring 2018.
