And you thought you were safe from the shovel.

Yacht Club Games’s Shovel Knight may have missed its September 2013 release date but never fear, for the developer has revealed that it will be arriving on March 31st for PC. A new trailer has also been released to showcase the game.

Shovel Knight was developed with the help of crowd-funding but suffered from multiple delays. It’s still in the alpha stage, and Yacht Club has indicated that the Wii U and 3DS releases will be different from each other. The good news is, both Nintendo platform versions will be releasing around the same time as the PC version.

The developer explained the delay on Kickstarter though. “And if you’re wondering why it took so long, let’s just say the game got a lot bigger than we originally intended, and we think everyone will be happy with that.”

Looking forward to finally playing Shovel Knight or is the game dead and buried to you after all the delays? Let us know in the comments.
