Silent Hill: Downpour Director Steps Down Months Before Release

Posted By | On 07th, Nov. 2011

Brian Gomez, Design Director at Vatra Games (the folks behind Silent Hill: Downpour), has left his position a few months before the game’s release. Following the announcement that the game would be delayed until 2012 Gomez came to the decision with his family that he “couldn’t keep making the commute between Los Angeles and Brno [where Vatra is based in the Czech Republic] for another 4-6 months…” He added that the game is “so close to completion, there’s not a lot more that I can personally do for the project that [Vatra’s other members] cannot handle on their own.”
