City Interactive Games has announced that the recently released Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2, first person shooter primarily focused on long-range sniping, will receive its first DLC, Siberian Strike, on March 27th. The DLC will be available for Xbox Live Arcade at 800 Microsoft Points and on PlayStation Network/Steam for £8.99.

As the name indicates, the DLC will take place in the chilly and isolated regions of Siberia. CI Games promises a more open world experience to missions, pushing aside guidance and instead having players find new locations the old fashioned way: Using maps.

Cole “Sandman” Anderson must infilitrate a Russian military facility located in the Siberian city of Birsovik to locate CIA operative M. Diaz, who went undercover to see if the Russians were manufacturing WMDs or not. He’ll be working alongside Task 121, and only has Diaz’s GPS signal. From there, it’s all rote discovery.
