Though Sony didn’t confirm if this was the “something new” we were expecting, Polyphony Digital president Kazunori Yamauchi has revealed a limited edition version of the PlayStation 4 for Gran Turismo Sport that will be available on October 18th.

Announced on the PlayStation Europe Blog, it was noted that the console would launch at select retailers on the same day as the game. There are several bundles available which include a PS4 Slim with Gran Turismo Sport. The different configurations for the bundles are:

  • Jet Black PS4 1 TB edition
  • Jet Black PS4 500GB edition
  • Jet Black PS4 1TB + extra Jet Black DualShock 4 edition
  • Jet Black PS4 Pro edition

There’s also the limited edition version which features the game’s logo emblazoned on the face plate. The same logo appears on the DualShock 4’s Touch Pad. Other features include the Day 1 Edition of Gran Turismo Sport, $250,000 of in-game credits, a chrome racing helmet, 60 PS4 avatars and livery sticker packs. The limited edition has currently been confirmed for UK, Europe and Australasia; its release in North America is still up in the air.
