The SHAREfactory feature of the PlayStation 4 has been received with much fanfare and one can easily describe it as a major community success for the PlayStation 4. But that does not end there. Sony are apparently looking to optimize the new app’s performance.

According to a job listing on the PlayStation site, Sony are looking for a candidate that has experience in C++ and shader development. Furthermore the candidate should have strong understanding in GPU Compute and optimizations so that he/she can apply that in the PS4’s GPU architecture.

And as expected, the candidate should also have expertise in video codecs/formats and PC/PS4 games development. It will be interesting to see whether this will lead to a new firmware update in the future.

How many times do I have to keep telling people , SONY PS4 CANNOT OPTIMIZE , IT CAN ONLY EMULATE … AND THAT’S VERY LIMITED ..

What do you mean by that?

Naughty Dog and Sony’s ICE team will get every bit of performance out of the PS4’s hardware in the coming years, guaranteed.

?! That’s crazy talk, code (and writing, and speech) can always be optimised. There’s very little in existence that can’t be better optimised.

You are making no sense,of course Sony can optimize Ps4 even farther.
