The SHAREfactory feature of the PlayStation 4 has been received with much fanfare and one can easily describe it as a major community success for the PlayStation 4. But that does not end there. Sony are apparently looking to optimize the new app’s performance.

According to a job listing on the PlayStation site, Sony are looking for a candidate that has experience in C++ and shader development. Furthermore the candidate should have strong understanding in GPU Compute and optimizations so that he/she can apply that in the PS4’s GPU architecture.

And as expected, the candidate should also have expertise in video codecs/formats and PC/PS4 games development. It will be interesting to see whether this will lead to a new firmware update in the future.
