Xbox One Without Kinect

Microsoft recently released the Kinect-less SKU of the Xbox One that puts the system on an even footing with the PlayStation 4, at least as far as the price goes. A lot of people assumed that the move, which came just a few months into the launch of the Xbox One, caught Sony off guard, which is why they have not responded to it yet. However, Sony claimsa that it always assumed Microsoft would release a cheaper, Kinect-less version of the Xbox One.

In an interview where they bared all about the launch of the PS4 and the launch of the Xbox One as it was perceived at Sony, head of Worldwide Studios America Scott Rohde told Ars Technica that “I think that, to be truthful, we always assumed that eventually they’d have to release a SKU without a camera. So we were waiting for it to a degree, and we were ready for it.”

So that explains why Sony hasn’t exactly done… well, anything to counter anything that Microsoft has been doing recently, really.

The only thing Sony needs to do is fix the price of the console here in Australia. $399 in USA and $549 in Australia. $399 is USA for a Xbox One and now $499 here in Australia. They won early on with outselling the Xbox One here, but now with Xbox having some very interesting looking exclusives and first rights to exclusive content in 3 of the biggest franchises around (COD, Battlefield and FIFA), they really have caught the casual gamers attention.

The One’s exclusives are really not that impressive tbh. I love 360 but the One is not all its cracked up to be. Plus idk why you even mentioned first rights. That’s a le reason to choose one console over the other. I say just get both consoles.
