Steep, meanwhile, performs better than expected.
Surprise, surprise – Ubisoft’s South Park: The Fractured But Whole has been delayed yet again. The news was revealed on a recent earnings call following the company’s quarterly financial report where it noted that the game would now arrive in fiscal 2017-2018. That basically means anywhere between April 2017 to March 2018. Considering it was set to arrive between January and March 2017, that’s quite the delay.
South Park: The Fractured But Whole has been delayed plenty of times. Originally expected last year, we finally thought the sequel would arrive in December 2016. Ubisoft delayed it to 2017 beforehand to “make sure the game experience meets the high expectations of fans.”
Meanwhile, Ubisoft said that the launch of Watch Dogs 2 was “not as dynamic as expected” (it had a similar stance upon noting the reduced first week sales from its predecessor). It’s noted that”momentum [is] now positive”. Interestingly, open world sports title Steep saw “slightly higher-than-expected performance.”
