Squads May Return To Battlefield 4 – Report

Squad Access beta mode spotted in multiplayer options for PS3 version.

Squads may been a popular feature in Battlefield 3 but it was removed before Battlefield 4 launched after DICE felt it wouldn’t offer a high enough level of quality for players. “Quality” and Battlefield 4 are pretty antonymous to each other at this point, but at least the dev is attempting to listen to its fanbase when the latter says it wants Squads back.

That could be happening sooner rather than later, as Reddit user xSty86 posted screenshots from the PS3 version of the game which showed Squad Access (Beta) in the multiplayer options menu. Check it out in the first image below. The second image is the Square Access Lobby, with the options reading (as translated by the user):

“Active squads by friends – Player, New Squad, No squads with friends available, Create a squad so your friends can join you to play together.”
