Tekken Producer: Wii U processor clocked lower than PS3 and Xbox 360

Katsuhiro Harada, who is the series producer of Tekken has mentioned that, the Wii U processor is clocked lower than PS3’s might Cell processor and even the Xbox 360 one. Of course, such a thing is not surprising since there have been plenty of rumours in the past stating the same thing.

“I think maybe the game is coming along smoother than most people would think, as far as the look of the game. As far as graphical processing and such, it’s not much of an issue. But as far as the CPU goes, the clock is kinda low,” he revealed to Digital Spy.

“I guess they’re trying to keep power consumption down so we have to come up with creative ways to get around that and that’s taking a little bit of time. For example on PS3 it was kind of difficult at first, but if you made good use of the different cores, you could split up the processing tasks and you could achieve very good effects. But this is kind of a different issue than that.”

“When asked whether it was lower than that of the Xbox 360 or PS3, he replied: “Maybe a little bit. ”

Gosh I wish you supposed journalists would actually quote the correct part of that article but wait if you did you couldn’t lie and then get you daily clicks. So there you have it people it might be a little bit lower than the speeds of the processors in the PS3 and 360. I’m guessing they expected a higher clock speed for next gen consoles. -_-
