Ten Reasons Why The PS4 And Xbox 720 Won’t Launch Anytime Sooner

4) Sony is not in a position to release it soon: Sony have just launched the Vita and have to get that system on track considering its poor sales worldwide. There’s no chance they will release the PS4 before making sure the Vita can stand on its own legs, unless they like losing money, which is arguable.

5) Microsoft still has a lot of momentum in the US: If there’s one region where Microsoft is doing very well, it’s the US. Unless and until the Xbox 360 sales there completely craters there’s no way they would release a new console to disrupt the 360’s momentum.

6) Kinect: Kinect still hasn’t received a price drop yet, and considering the amount of money Microsoft have spent in marketing the thing, they will try to extract as much juice as possible from it before giving up. This could mean aggressive bundling and more promotions before the inevitable reveal of a next Xbox and Kinect 2.0.
