The Division

The open beta for Tom Clancy’s The Division will be going live for Xbox One players on February 18th but there are other developments in store for Microsoft’s console. After both the closed and open beta received an extra day on Xbox One, a hands-on video from GameStop indicated that the console would be receiving 30 day exclusivity to The Division‘s DLC.

Courtesy of insider shinobi602, it seems that this isn’t a recent development and that it was planned as far back as 2014.

It wouldn’t be the strangest development given The Division‘s presence at Xbox One media showings and the additional time for betas on the console. How will other platform fans react? That remains to be seen and Ubisoft hasn’t even officially released confirmed if this timed exclusivity is legit.

Tom Clancy’s The Division is out on March 8th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. What are your thoughts on this? Let us know in the comments.
