The Division’s Protection Against Elites Glitch Fix Coming

Next State of the Game will address cheaters and exploiters.

Tom Clancy’s The Division hasn’t exactly been seeing the best of times since update 1.1 dropped, bringing glitches with its major end-game activity Falcon Lost, crafting nerfs and a loot drop rate so atrocious it’ll make you yearn for the days of Diablo 3‘s Auction House (okay, maybe not that bad but still). There have also been issues with some key aspects including the perk Protection Against Elites.

This particular gear perk is meant to reduce the damage taken from the tougher enemies in The Division. Instead, the damage you receive is actually increased. The Division sub-Reddit discovered this particular problem in the scripting of the game. Fortunately, according to community manager Hamish Bode (who acknowledged the glitch earlier this week), the perk has already been fixed. It’s expected that tomorrow’s maintenance will provide a hotfix for the same.

Bode also said that this week’s State of the Game would address the issue of cheaters and exploiters. Given the game’s horrible status on PC especially when traveling to the Dark Zone where players can teleport around and one-shot you from miles away, it should be interesting to see what fixes Massive have in mind.
