The Elder Scrolls Online: Eight Brand New Screenshots

The world of Tamriel comes alive in these new screens.

ZeniMax Online Studios has released some new screenshots for their upcoming MMORPG based on Bethesda’s critically and commercially acclaimed Elder Scrolls franchise. The Elder Scrolls Online aims to encompass the magic of games like Oblivion and Skyrim with its questing and customization.

The new screenshots also showcase the length and breadth of Tamriel, with most of the continent playable in the game. Players will be able to select different races and choose from a range of skills while using a fairly hands-on melee combat system.

The main conflict involves three factions fighting for the throne of the Emperor of Tamriel: the Aldmeri Dominion, the Daggerfall Covenant and the Ebonheart Pact. Each faction has its own races unique to the realm of Elder Scrolls, including Breton, Redguards, Dunmer, Nords, Altmer and many more.

And we haven’t even gotten to the range of monsters you’ll meet.

The Elder Scrolls Online is scheduled to release this year for PC and Mac OS X.
