The Elder Scrolls Online New Details and Screenshots Revealed

The world of Tamriel is strange, mysterious and friggin' awesome.

Zenimax Online Studios and Bethesda revealed some new screenshots for their upcoming MMO based off of the Elder Scrolls universe. The Elder Scrolls Online will take place within Tamriel with an emphasis on action based gameplay and organic character builds rather than numbers and grinding.

In fact, the overall quest system relies on more story-based structures with the occasional side-quest to guide you rather than a rote fetch quest and slaughter party. You’ll be able to specialize in three of dozens of planned skill lines that extend to sorcery, sword wielding and much more,

The game itself looks quite good, showcasing a level of detail that coexists well with the fantasy setting and artwork. The action and gameplay is still more Elder Scrolls though, and you’ll be working that mouse to attack and defend. Let’s see how the experience plays out on a bigger scale when it releases this year for PC and Mac.
