Naughty Dog had confirmed that they will be supporting the PlayStation 4 Pro as well, so it should come as no surprise that their two PS4 games – The Last of Us Remastered and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End – have both been updated for PS4 Pro support. Neither should the stunning quality of visuals that players will see with these games on the PS4 Pro surprise anyone- after all, this studio has a track record for beautiful games.

Speaking on the PlayStation Blog, Naughty Dog shared some details about what the PS4 Pro enhancements to their games would entail- I think the details should largely make you happy.

“For those with a 4K display, Uncharted 4’s story can be played on PS4 Pro at 1440p resolution, up from 1080p on PS4. Multiplayer’s fluid, high-framerate gameplay remains the same, but the resolution has also been increased to a full 1080p on PS4 Pro, up from 900p on PS4. The Last of Us Remastered, on the other hand, allows you to choose whether you want to play in the game’s original target framerate of 30 frames per second at 2160p or at a high targeted 60 frames per second at 1800p.”

I’m a bit bummed that the single player mode in Uncharted 4 didn’t get a frame rate bump, but that apart, it sounds like the PS4 Pro enhancements are certainly substantial enough. The PS4 Pro launched yesterday worldwide. It is available for $399.

the ps4 pro bottlenecks as we have said before.this is a remaster of a remastr of a remaster and it shows the ps4 running it better and the peo bottle necking.

Even if it’s a last gen game with added extras it’s a native 4k game running at 30fps on a console. I say that’s good.

    • Hvd

its an old game that runs better on the ps4 then the ps4 pro.enough said.

    • Gamez Rule

      Mate it’s running at 4k. PS4 cannot do that.☺

PS4-Pro drops by a few frames when down-sampled from 1800p to 1080p BUT it looks much better on PS4-Pro even at 1080p than what normal PS4 puts out.

Keep telling that to yourself $onycuck. P$4 Prolapse is a brick and a waste of time

Running worse than the P$4. Toppermost kek

    • Hvd

its upscaled bro.and a console thats supposed to be x2 more powerful is being beating by the normal ps4..lol

“whether you want to play in the game’s original target framerate of ♦30 frames per second at 2160p♦ or at a high targeted 60 frames per second at 1800p”

      See you can play this game at native 4k at 30fps ( 2160p ) and for ( 1080p support, the PS4-Pro down-samples the 4K modes )

“You get a 3200×1800 resolution in 60fps mode, rising to native 4K at 30fps / and for 1080p mode the resolution boost is repurposed into enhanced anti-aliasing via down-sampling”

    • Hvd

they are trying to upscale from to high of a resolution and with a weak 5 year old jaguar cpu is what is causing this bottle neck.

they are trying to upscales from 1800p and its to taxing on the old cpu thats in it.

thats whats going on as many have said it would.

    • Gamez Rule

Mate, read what’s been posted above. For 1080p mode the resolution boost is re-purposed into enhanced anti-aliasing via ♦down-sampling♦. This is where the frame drops take place.

At Native 4k running at 30fps this doesn’t have that problem. ( Native is not up-scaled or down-sampling )

    • Gamez Rule

Just to add. It’s funny that nothing is said about how good modern warfare remastered is when running on PS4-Pro when compared to stock PS4? Or how Titanfall 2 shows much higher resolutions and image quality while holding more consistent frame-rates on PS4-Pro when compared to stock PS4. Same said for Battlefield One, plus many more games.

People only want to see the bad, never the good nowadays☺

A 1080p/60fps with better effects mode would also be welcome.

REALLY wish they could have managed native 4K at 60fps. Now I have to choose between whether I REALLY want 30fps or 60fps mode…..decisions decisions…..I’ll need to see comparison video. Wish they could have bumped that 1800p JUST a little bit more to 4K for the 60fps *siiighss*
