The PS3- now only making a small loss for Sony

Posted By | On 07th, Feb. 2010 Under Industry News

When the PS3 first came out in 2006, it cost $600, and of that, Sony were losing a good couple of hundred dollars per console. Now, they are losing a little less.

Thanks to decreasing labor costs and better technology, Sony has been able to drive down their losses to a “reasonable” $18 per console. Incredibly, Sony marketers estimate that by 2011 Sony will actually be making a profit from the Playstation.

Everyone give a slow clap for Sony- 3 years after release and still making a loss. It’s just a little less.

The PS3 is not making sony lose money. You are an idiot. DO you think if they were losing money, they would continue to make it. The money that people think they are loosing is based on a website guessing how much certain stuff cost. A company is NOT going to make something that they are losing money on. THINK ABOUT IT!!!!

    I don’t think they’re losing money.
