Why do all these characters look caucasian? Seriously. It is a originally a Japanese game, which features characters from AROUND THE WORLD. And yet Chun Li, Ryu, and Sagat all look like they just walked off the set of Full House (90’s sitcom reference there). WTF, mate.

As awesome as this art is, imposing such realism on the Street Fighter characters sort of takes away from the over-the-top cartoonish style the series has always had. And piggybacking off of what Mcquackers had to say, the characters do look rather “whitewashed”.

I’m not trying to take away from the artist’s work, the art is amazing. The artist would probably be better off drawing Tekken characters, though. Well…as long as Forest Law doesn’t end up looking like Justin Long.

This game was supposed to have characters that belong to the global scenerio. But the public in the game seems to be from Japan. It is ok for me.
