The Secret World Unleashes First Major Content Update

Posted By | On 16th, Jul. 2012

Funcom’s MMO The Secret World is meeting with an interesting responses. It’s getting it’s first content update on July 31st, in the form of “Issues”, with the first Issue titled “Unleashed”.

The developer will introduce a new update (or “Issue”) each month going forward.

What can one expect from the first Issue? Funcom has provided a very helpful list to answer just that.

– New ‘Carter Unleashed’, ‘Crime and Punishment’, ‘Funeral Crasher’, ‘The 3rd Age’, ‘Red Handed’ missions along with one as-of-yet unrevealed mission.
– Two new Nightmare mode dungeons: The Ankh and Hell Fallen.
– Increased challenges, increased rewards, and a chance to test new builds, new synergies
– Cross-dimensional Marketplace, allowing players to sell, trade and ship items to other players

Perhaps most verily is Funcom’s insistence on making The Secret World a living world, that will continuously evolve with future updates. As more updates and missions become available, it’ll be interesting to see how this world of fables evolves.
