This is very disappointing: Bloodborne won’t be 60FPS because of technical limitations

Bloodborne looks pretty damn awesome, as it should, coming, as it does, from the maker of Demon’s Souls and Dark Souls. It also looks a bit more accessible for the average person, not because it looks dumbed down, or casualized, or any such thing, but because it seems to be a bit more sped up than the famously slow movement and combat of the Souls games.

But if, for any reason (including the above), you were expecting the game to run at 60FPS, hold your horses- it won’t. The game’s director Hidetaka Miyazaki has confirmed that the game won’t hit that because of ‘technical limitations.’

“That’s a tough one (laughs). I can only say that it’s a decision we had to make from technical limitations and, unfortunately, we aren’t planning for 60fps. I really hope people won’t pick on me too much about it (laughs)!”

Well, that’s a bit disappointing.

      There isn’t a single triple a exclusive on the ps4 that runs at 1080p and 60fps.

    Yeah right consoles are limited. But why some pc forks complaining about minimum pc spec requirements for some games? Arent you the guys who dont care being ripped off by GPU venders every half a year?

      Because the average lifespan is 4-5 years of support on a GPU and the upgrades you see that make you think 6 months is because PC technology advances at a much faster rate than consoles.

    Developers go for eye candy over frame rate it’s always like this unless your Nintendo.

    Although people need to keep their expectations in check for higher frame rates on consoles, BloodBorne will be fine at 30fps being a 3rd person shooter/slasher. Genres usually predetermine frame rates on console. Shahid Ahmad from Sony should’ve kept cool from promising 60fps so much. “Give me 60fps or gimme death”. Uhh, ok.
