EA released its latest financials this morning. Along with revealing release dates for games like Mirror’s Edge 2 and outlining the hours that players’ have spent in Battlefield: Hardline and Dragon Age: Inquisition, it noted that Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall 2 wouldn’t be out in fiscal 2016. That means you won’t be seeing it this year. At all.

In fact, one executive answered a question regarding the release and said, “Your assumption should be 17.”

This indicates that Titanfall 2 could be out in fiscal year 2017 which starts from April 1st 2016 and ends on March 31st 2017. On the one hand, it would be great to see Titanfall 2 next year but considering the amount of work to be done, the addition of PS4 as a release platform along with Xbox One and PC, and other new additions to the game, Q1 2017 is looking like a safer bet.

Nonetheless, Titanfall 2 is very much on its way. What are your thoughts on this? Let us know in the comments.
