Titanfall has received a patch to deal with the various server issues that would crop up on launch day for the Xbox One and PC. It weighs in at 380 MB.

As stated on the Titanfall community feed, “We’re aware that some users may have experienced early issues on PC and Xbox One. We’ve just pushed a patch that’s now recovering servers quickly. Players will load into Private Lobbies much faster and we’re continuing to monitor. Thanks for sticking with us on launch night, we appreciate your support!”

Titanfall is currently receiving strong critical acclaim from critics, even if its 48 GB install size on the PC is somewhat insane. It’s still due to release in Europe, with March 14th being D-Day. The Xbox 360 version will also be releasing but on March 25th/28th and under the supervision of Bluepoint Entertainment.

I’ve been playing the Xbox version for most of the day and so far the servers have been rock solid. Ea and respawn were smart for using Xbox lives azure servers instead of using the junk ea servers they have running battlefield and other ea online games in recent memory. Highest ping I’ve seen today is 50ms and I noticed one instance of lag which caused a titan to teleport about 10 feet but that’s it. 30 seconds of lag in about 6 hours of play on launch day.

I believe this patch is supposed to make the initial matchmaking faster. It only took about 30 seconds to find a game prepatch and maybe 15-30 seconds post patch but hey any time saved is time we can be in game.

Does anyone have a solution for this? When titanfall was in Beta i had a regular ping 60-70ms. I bought the game 2weeks after it was released and been having about 180ping. This is the only game im having ping issues with. I played titanfall in beta and didnt have any ping problems. No it cannot be my firewall because its always off. Its not my anti virus because i dont even have 1 installed and i know there is nothing blocking the connection. I tried port forwarding, repair install and everything and no success. Am i the only one who has this problem? How can it be fixed?
