TitanFall, Respawn Entertainment’s online multiplayer first person shooter which mixes mech combat with running, gunning, jet-packing and wall-running, will have dedicated servers for when it launches on Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC next year.

EA’s Craig Owens stated after the E3 2013 demonstration of the game that, “We’re using Microsoft’s cloud compute initiative to run all our servers for it, so it’s all running on dedicated servers.

“We’ll spin up and spin down servers as necessary, and it’ll do all the AI hosting and physics calculations and all matchmaking and all of that good stuff. It’s all dedicated servers, all the time.”

This is especially good news given how the Call of Duty series has always been on-and-off with its support for just match-making. This will help keep the gameplay tight and the online experience as rock-solid as possible.

TitanFall will be releasing in Spring 2014 for PC, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
