TMNT: Out of the Shadows Trailer Reveals Raphael

Cowabunga, pizza time and whatnot.

Activision has revealed a new character trailer for the upcoming 3D brawler TMNT: Out of the Shadows. This one focuses on Raphael, the hot-headed, tough-guy of the group and manages to mix in some parkour with good ol’ fashioned beat-downs (that include a few wrestling maneuvers). Check it out above.

Based on the current TMNT show on Nickelodeon, TMNT: Out of the Shadows brings the turtles into the new generation but still keeps the gameplay in a beat em’ up style that gaming fans – especially those who’ve enjoyed Turtles in Time – will like. Each turtle thus far seems to have a different fighting style, as Michelangelo’s seems ripped from Batman: Arkham City’s Free Flow system.

As such the level of violence is still fairly cartoony but that doesn’t make it less brutal. TMNT: Out of the Shadows releases on Xbox 360, PC and PS3 this Summer, and is only the first of three games in the series.
