Crystal Dynamics has announced that Tomb Raider will be launching on Mac OS later this year, thanks to some assistance from the Mac-centric publisher, Feral Interactive. Tomb Raider is a reboot of the fan favorite action adventure series. It launched earlier this year for PS3, Xbox 360, and Windows, and serves as an origin story for protagonist, Lara Croft.

“We’re excited to bring Tomb Raider to the Mac, and in doing so introduce a new audience to Lara Croft’s original story,” Square Enix head of product development Darrell Gallagher said in a press statement. “This is one more step on the road to achieving everything we wanted with the game.”

As of yet there are no details on release date, pricing, or system requirements, but according to a press statement from Feral Interactive, we can expect that information to surface in the near future.

Crystal Dynamics has also spoken of a Tomb Raider comic series, which will act as a tie-in to the planned Tomb Raider sequel. Stay tuned to Gamingbolt for more updates as they are released.
