UK Game Charts: Grand Theft Auto 5 On Top for Second Week

The usual suspects round out the charts.

Posted By | On 23rd, Jan. 2017

Is this 2013? Well, no but that’s not stopping Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto 5 from dominating physical game sales in the UK for the week ending on January 21st according to Gfk Chart-Track.

FIFA 17 is in second place followed by Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (which was still the highest selling title in the United States for 2016 according to The NPD Group) in third. Battlefield 1 is at fourth place followed by Watch Dogs 2 at fifth. Steep is in sixth place so it’s pretty good news for Ubisoft to have two of its releases in the top ten chart.

Forza Horizon 3 was in eighth place followed by Mafia 3 with a surprising return to ninth place. Overwatch managed to round out the charts at tenth place. As always, because Gfk Chart-Track doesn’t take digital sales into account, the actual sales numbers are expected to be higher all around.

What will the charts look like this week with Tales of Berseria, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, Resident Evil 7: biohazard and Yakuza 0 releasing? We’ll find out next Monday so stay tuned.
