Vampyr Pre-Alpha Demo Footage Contains Dramatic Hacking and Slashing

Dontnod Entertainment’s Vampyr received a new pre-alpha demo trailer and it got straight to the point with its combat. We got a look at the vampiric powers that players can utilize including a shadow dash and an interesting ability to pierce enemies while keeping them constrained.

This being a vampire game means that you can feed on enemies as well. The ruins of London may or may not be a result of your actions or things may just be that messed up to begin with. Who can really tell with vampires these days?

Vampyr is slated to release in 2017 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. It promises to offer unprecedented freedom in how you react with NPCs, letting you feed on just about anyone (or no one, if you want to remain pure). The fact that it comes from the studio behind Life is Strange is all the more interesting. Stay tuned for more information on the game as it’s released.
