Watch Dogs Easter Egg Pokes Fun at Microsoft Kinect
It’s a good thing the “Kinekt” doesn’t actually exist, right?
Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs is full of secrets and Easter Eggs including some rather disturbing characters that can be revealed using the character profiler (for the love of God, don’t Google half of what they’re into) and references to the Assassin’s Creed series. Heck, Ubisoft E3 media briefing host Aisha Tyler is also in the game, if you’re crafty enough to find her.
But that’s not all. While hacking into devices, you’ll notice that you can hack into a “Kinekt” device belonging to a gamer. This was spotted by Eurogamer and is an obvious shout-out to privacy concerns that Microsoft’s Kinect raised when it was first revealed that it would be always on and always listening.
Microsoft has made several about-turns in its policy since then, including de-coupling Kinect from the Xbox One altogether and selling the console at $399 from June 9th onwards. What other Easter Eggs have you unearthed in Watch Dogs? Let us know in the comments.
