Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass is a great concept, but if it is to catch on, then it needs more clarity about its future plans. During Xbox Daily: Live @ E3 yesterday, Microsoft shared some more information on the Netflix like service, which should hopefully serve to allay some doubts or questions that people have about it.

Microsoft confirmed, for example, that at least five new games will be added every month- which is good news, because it means you are that much likelier to find something to your liking each month as a result. Microsoft stated that the games will be added on the 1st of each month, so you even know what dates to look forward to for new games each month as a subscriber.

Unfortunately, we don’t know yet whether or not games from the original Xbox, which are confirmed to be coming to the Xbox One via Backward Compatibility as well, will be included in the service- we can only hope!

    From Eurogamer.net:

Ceccarelli then addressed the question of when games will leave the Games Pass service. In short: nothing will leave before November.

“The bigger thing is when games will leave,” he said. “We see a lot of questions and a lot of assumptions … and while there’s not one set amount of time that a game will be in the catalogue, and some titles will leave the catalogue eventually, I want to put some fears at rest because our first games won’t be leaving the catalogue until late November.”
