Xbox Games With Gold for August Is Pretty Good, Includes Trials Fusion And Bayonetta

Platinum's seminal action game now available for Xbox players for free.

Xbox Live’s Games with Gold offerings for the month of August have been revealed, and they’re pretty damn good all around (which is just as well, because the offerings over the last two months have been relatively tepid in comparison).

The highlight of this month is undoubtedly Bayonetta– Platinum’s seminal action game released on the Xbox 360 and PS3 all the way back in 2010, and while it has been ported and received better versions since on the Wii U and PC, the Xbox 360 version remains a tour de force nonetheless- and now, Xbox 360 and Xbox One players can play it at no cost.

Other games for this month include Trials Fusion for the Xbox One, Red Faction Armageddon for the Xbox 360, and Slime Rancher for the Xbox One- it’s a good lineup all around, and none of the remaining games are anything to sneeze at. But Bayonetta is undoubtedly the star of the show here.
