Xbox One Owners Will Get Their Own Battlefield Hardline Beta Before Release

But it won't be this beta.

Battlefield Hardline

One of the shockers that came out of E3 last week was that PlayStation formats would be getting exclusive access to the beta for the upcoming Battlefield Hardline- this came as a surprise, especially given how pally EA and Microsoft have been lately, ever since the announcement of the Xbox One. Many saw this as EA starting to blow with the wind, and going back over to Sony’s side, who have consistently done better with their console so far and would provide a third party publisher like EA better opportunities.

However, EA is quick to point out that Xbox formats will get their own beta for the title nearer to the game’s release.

Speaking with OXM DICE general manager Karl-Magnus, Troedsson said, “We will have a beta on all platforms before release. But it won’t be this beta on Xbox. It’s not going to be the same version, just to be clear.”

Well, at least that should lay to rest some of the console wars bullshit that EA’s move undoubtedly sparked.
