Xbox Scorpio vs PS4 Pro Head To Head Specs Comparison: A Deep Dive Into Why Microsoft’s Offering Is Superior

And how the success of Scorpio will have positive implications for DX12 performance in PC games.

Incredibly, it’s been almost six months since Sony outed the PS4 Pro. Project Scorpio was little more than a teaser then, a tastefully positioned board shot (which allowed the intrepid eyes over at Digital Foundry to work out how much memory Scorpio had onboard, way before this month’s announcement).

The PS4 and Xbox One continue to deliver ever-shinier visuals in titles like Horizon: Zero Dawn and Gears of War 4, making a good pass at, but not quite surmounting the uncanny valley. PC hardware has, of course, gotten significantly more powerful. But Steam usage data indicates that the vast majority of PC gamers continue to game on humble, midrange to entry-level systems. Sure, the GTX 1080 Ti offers close to 8 times more raw graphics horsepower than the consoles. But what kind of sales figures are we talking about, here? There are over 50 million PS4 consoles out in the wild. Realistically, parts the 1080 Ti (or even “popular” enthusiast cards like the 1070), are unlikely to shift more than a few hundred thousand units over their lifetime.

4K TV sales are certainly picking up, but we’re still at the point where Full HD was circa 2009: it’s entering the mainstream, but plenty of people (the majority of the market, actually), are quite happy with what they already have. There definitely is an addressable market for a 4K console, but its nowhere near the size of the audience that Sony and Microsoft are selling regular PS4s and Xbox Ones to. To put that into perspective, an NPD market research report, indicates that, at least as of December, Sony was selling 7 times as many PS4s as it was PS4 Pros.

"The PS4 Pro is very clearly a stop-gap product. That’s not a criticism–it’s the way Sony’s marketed the Pro, after all. And considering all that talk about iterative console development, it’s a possibility that we’ll see something that’s meaningfully better than the Pro, or Sony may just release a PS5 instead within the next few years."

In spite of all this, Microsoft and Sony both appear perfectly happy to throw millions of R&D dollars at 4K consoles. 4K’s not a gimmick like 3DTV. It’s a new resolution benchmark that’s being adopted everywhere, from cinema to TVs (duh), to phones (where it most certainly is a gimmick). Assuming that television’s not completely replaced by augmented reality glasses, 4K (and eventually 8K) TV sets will dominate in the next decade or so. We’re just a bit early to the party. Just how early will determine the success or failure of both the PS4 Pro and the Xbox Scorpio.

Setting the “are these things even relevant” question aside (let’s assume they are), which console’s better able to provide a good 4K gaming experience? The PS4 Pro has had the advantage of getting to the market early, and it’s going to continue to enjoy that advantage right up until Q3/Q4 of this year when Scorpio finally becomes available to the public. Momentum counts for a lot, sometimes even more than superior hardware specs. You just have to look back at how the 6th generation panned out to see that: The PS2, a much weaker console than the original Xbox, had the advantage of being available for almost two years before Microsoft’s debut black box. That time and wide third party support enabled the PS2 to power past the Xbox in terms of sales.

With the Pro and Scorpio, things aren’t quite as clear. For starters, the Pro is still very much in the shadow of the PS4, both in terms of sales figures and product positioning. It’s complementary to the PS4. Apart from being able to run games at slightly higher resolutions, it doesn’t have a USP that’d really cause sales momentum to pick up: there are no Pro exclusives, there are no new interaction paradigms. Heck, there isn’t even a night and day difference in visual quality between a Pro-patched game and the PS4 original. Scorpio, on the other hand, has the potential to be something more. Speaking to Digital Foundry, Xbox engineers indicated that enhancing the 1080p experience on Scorpio was as much a part of the package as 4K. From a marketing point of view, what we’ve heard of Scorpio is of a console that’s meaningfully differentiated from the Xbox One, while still remaining within the “Xbox family.” If the Scorpio offers a sufficiently differentiated experience, the PS4 Pro’s prior market availability might not matter as much.

"The Scorpio’s 40-CU graphics processor incorporates features from both the Polaris and Vega architectures. And the significantly higher core clock (GPU Clocked @ 1172MHz) means that Scorpio well and truly deliver as far as the much-touted 6 Teraflop compute figure is concerned."

How differentiated are the two? The PS4 Pro, as we’ve come to see, isn’t exactly powerful enough to provide a native 4K gaming experience. Frame reconstruction techniques aside, it’d  be stretch to call it anything more than a 1440p capable box. The RX 480–the Polaris equivalent of the PS4 Pro’s GPU in the desktop space–is positioned as a quality option for 1080p. And this, bear in mind, is a part that’s running at significantly higher clockspeeds than the Pro’s GPU. GPU constraints introduce an upper limit to what the PS4 Pro can accomplish at 4K. Furthermore, the Pro still ships with 8 GB of shared system RAM/VRAM (not counting the extra 1 gig of DDR3).

More than anything else, 4K is incredibly intensive on VRAM. Leave aside any increase in texture resolution to take advantage of the extra pixels: merely rendering a game as-is at 4K can eat up a substantially greater amount of video memory than running at 1080p. Factoring out OS RAM requirements, and considering the extra DDR3, the PS4 Pro has at best 6.5 GB of shared memory to work with, not all of which (obviously) can be used as video memory. We’re talking about access to 4GB of video memory or less in real-world situations. As games like Deus Ex: Mankind Divided show on PC, 4GB of VRAM is often insufficient at 1080p, let alone 4K.

I run a 4GB Radeon Fury here. From personal experience, I’ve encountered hitches and stutter at 1080p in several titles due to VRAM utilization getting maxed out. Unsurprisingly, the relative lack of VRAM shows up in Pro-enhanced titles. Despite the admirable increase in resolution, texture assets remain unchanged from the PS4 original, and still below PC’s max setting. Increased texture resolution is one of the key benefits to gaming in 4K, and this is something the Pro’s not quite able to hand in.

"What does 6 Teraflops of graphics horsepower mean? Factoring in API optimizations and efficiency gains from using a newer architecture, we’re looking at a GPU that’s just a bit faster than the R9 390X. If you’re looking at 4K/30 experiences, that is a great place to start."

The PS4 Pro is very clearly a stop-gap product. That’s not a criticism–it’s the way Sony’s marketed the Pro, after all. And considering all that talk about iterative console development, it’s a possibility that we’ll see something that’s meaningfully better than the Pro, or Sony may just release a PS5 instead within the next few years. It’s not all bad news, though. 1440p and 1800p do look meaningfully better on 4K screens than Full HD. Moreover, while it’s definitely not the real thing, checkerboard rendering can produce some fantastic results on 4K sets, especially in tandem with HDR. While it isn’t true “4K gaming console” in any meaningful sense, the Pro offers a great experience on 4K monitors (and no, that’s not the same thing.)

Going by Scorpio’s recently-outed specs, however, it almost feels like Microsoft has taken the Pro as a baseline, and built Scorpio’s capacities almost perfectly in line with the things the Pro can’t do. Let’s talk about raw graphics throughput here. Microsoft’s using a fully-custom GPU that has no clear parallels in the PC space. The Scorpio’s 40-CU graphics processor incorporates features from both the Polaris and Vega architectures. And the significantly higher core clock (GPU Clocked @ 1172MHz) means that Scorpio well and truly deliver as far as the much-touted 6 Teraflop compute figure is concerned.

What does 6 Teraflops of graphics horsepower mean? Factoring in API optimizations and efficiency gains from using a newer architecture, we’re looking at a GPU that’s just a bit faster than the R9 390X. If you’re looking at 4K/30 experiences, that is a great place to start. While it’s obviously been superceded by the Fury line, AMD once actually promoted the 390/390X as entry-level 4K cards. How valid is that claim? Reasonably so! One of the difficulties in comparing PC parts with consoles is that PC games tend to be benchmarked at max settings. In comparison, the console versions of AAA titles like The Witcher 3, often feature elements such as draw distance, that are equivalent to PC’s low/medium. With console-level visual settings, the 390X is often able to make a good fist at 4K gaming at 30 FPS. Considering that the Scorpio still features a rather unimpressive Jaguar-derived CPU (albeit at slightly higher clocks, Custom CPU @ 2.3GHz), CPU constraints will limit most games to 4K even if there’s graphics horsepower to spare.

"If Scorpio becomes a success, we’ll see developers making increased use of the DX12 featureset. This has positive implications for DX12 performance in PC games. All in all, the incremental CPU update is in line with Microsoft’s 4K/30 vision, just about enough to bring framerate minimums up to the mark for a consistent experience."

A much-welcome Scorpio upgrade is the increase in shared systemVRAM to 12 GB. Moreover, unlike with the Xbox One, we’re looking at GDDR5 here, offering no less than 326 GB/S of memory bandwidth. Bandwidth scales with resolution. Moreover, as we’d covered earlier, higher resolutions and–crucially–higher resolution assets need additional VRAM. To make the most of 4K output, you need textures of a sufficiently high resolution to preserve high-frequency details like folds of skin specks of dust, and the other incidentals that, together, contribute to pushing game visuals out of the uncanny valley. The extra memory allocation will go a long way, ensuring that Scorpio can display higher resolution texture assets that make the best use of its 4K output.

Lastly, while the Scorpio’s processor is still undoubtedly meh, the 31 percent increase in CPU clocks relative to the Xbox One mean that in CPU-bound scenarios, the Scorpio will be better able to keep minimum framerates above the crucial 30 FPS mark. Moreover, the tight integration of DX12 with the hardware cuts down significantly on CPU overhead. This is something of a positive externality: if Scorpio becomes a success, we’ll see developers making increased use of the DX12 featureset. This has positive implications for DX12 performance in PC games. All in all, the incremental CPU update is in line with Microsoft’s 4K/30 vision, just about enough to bring framerate minimums up to the mark for a consistent experience.

While the Scorpio’s still months out from release, the details we’ve received so far are highly encouraging: the Scorpio looks to be a meaningfully better alternative to the PS4 Pro, for legit, native 4K gaming. Let’s see what the (near) future holds!

If wasn’t for the optimization one the draw calls the CPU certainly wouldn’t be able to hit 4k.

    • Masyerofwind

But it is customized since its a console and DF said its performance rivals a 1000 dollar pc!

    • Mavericks

Yes, very smart optimizations on the whole system. Just saying the CPU is the weak link on Scorpio and if those optimizations wasn’t made would be impossible to render 4k on a Jaguar CPU.

    • XanderZane41

Well true. We know this by looking at the PS4 Pro which uses the same Jaguar CPU, but without any optimizations. It’s almpost impossible for them to render native 4K.

PS4 PRO Checkerboard rendering fake 4K gaming on consoles

    There’s nothing else to it

    • Guest

Except Scorpio isn’t going to do “true 4K” on all gamnes. And will resort to this “fake” checkerboard rendering you’re referring to. Prepare to be mad a fool of, moron! There’s nothing else to it.

And p.s. Scorpio is a year later and probably going to be more expensive than $400

Sony was in a very good place to have released a beast console. They had the market share to release a premium system. Had they released something close to the scorpio, it would have made MS’ climb all that much harder.

It was either arrogance on Sony’s part, or they really didn’t think MS would go all out like they did can be the only explanation as to why the pro is a half hearted attempt at a 4k upgrade.

    • Hvd

yep psvr killed it for sony.psvr is why the ps4 pro was launched and it opened the door for ms to make the xbox scorpio.no one to blame but sony.

    • Living While Alive

      Yea and no.

Per Phil Spencer: Project Scorpio development started in 2014.

      Shortly after he took lead.

So actually Sony tried to do a quick fix and one up Microsoft early to try and downplay and take more sales from Microsoft.

Typical arrogant and greedy Sony from the 90s.

However, that doesn’t excuse Sony for being naive toward Microsoft.

Forgetting they’re the #1 worldwide leader in software development and innovation, has multiple of multiple billions dollars divisions (Xbox, Bing, Office, Azure etc), forgetting the name Bill Gates.

From here on out Microsoft isn’t playing nice or fair anymore.

If it wasn’t for the government’s and a fair marketplace?

Microsoft would’ve been brought Sony’s PlayStation division and or Nintendo.

They have over 100 billion in cash reserves with no debt and that doesn’t include overseas

    • Bilal Prince-Ali

you really dont understand how business works do you..!? loool

JUST because MS is worth over $100 Billion does NOT mean the Xbox DIVISION has an unlimited tap to these funds!!!! If the divison continues to lose the company money (which it has been, or at least was) MS will consider and plan to phase out/close down the entirety of the Xbox division! and if you’re too dumb to understand this just google it and see 2 times MS and their shareholders/board planned and tried to close down the Xbox Division until the new appointed CEO had to promise to keep it on.
BUT if the Xbox Scorpio doesn’t do well and by well i mean sell in excess of the original Xbox One and above 50 million… that could be the one of the final nails in the xbox coffin (which i sincerely hope it isnt!)

    • Holeybartender

Project Neo development started in 2013.

    • Bilal Prince-Ali

it’s all about making sales than releasing a niche system…. you can talk all you want about a ‘beast system’ but the simple truth is i’ve been 4k gaming since Pro released… meanwhile you’re still out here wishing upon a star praising an invisible console still having to wait up to a year before you even touch!!! lool
But you’re all dumb enough to think this is great…

ALL the games i’ve been playing in native 4k and checkerboard 4k…. at a VERY reasonable price lool… and you’re out here doing what..? nothing..
So no Sony didn’t make a mistake AT ALLLL it’s just your biased perception! simple as.

  • Hvd

no need for this we know which console is the best its xbox scorpio.better luck on the ps5 but then again xbox 2 will be stronger then the ps5 ms wont be behind sony any more in the power department.

    • Living While Alive

      Bro, it’s straight clickbait.

These journalist know that “ANY” Scorpio related article wil be harassed to death by Sony Defense Force.

      Facts!

I go to Xbox articles to only find a swath of Sony fanboys and that’s in every single article that has a comment section!!! Smh

But go to a PlayStation article.

You will find little to no Xbox fanboys.

      It’s sad really!

    • angryguy77

been that way for 4 years now. There’s always been flame wars, but it’s been taken to a whole new level this gen.

    • Hvd

i love going to a playstation article and laying the facts out that they cant argue.its funny to see how mad they get when you prove them wrong every time.

    • Bilal Prince-Ali

no one argues with you what are you talking about.. people just tell you to Eff off because you repeat the same garbage over and over when A LOT of the time it’s off topic!
The topic will be about something like top 10 games to look forward to from PlayStation and you’ll come up with some BS about Scorpio lool…
Now all of a sudden power matters! but where were you for the 3 years before Scorpio hasn’t existed!? you were simply spouting other garbage hence how unpopular your opinions are on these comment board!

    • Guest

Scorpio is not goijng to be much better than the Pro, the difference will be minuscule, except to the phony a$$ fanboys who will act like its a huge difference. It will at best only have slightly higher res in certain games and slightly higher framerates in others (if even!)

    • kreator

      Says another armchair developer…

Funny when that same argument was made about X1 vs PS4 when first released Sony fanboys threw tantrums… Hypocrite much?

Umm, I own a X1 and am interested in Scorpio news but that doesn’t mean that I cant call the fanboyism when I see it. You Ms fanboys are the absolute worst. You all sit here and act like only pro Sony people can be fanboys but not youse. When in fact the MS fanboy is the worst.

    • kreator

      Liar!

    • MS fanboys are the worst of the worst. Specially if you tell them the truth about the failed scorpio..

I am a PS4 Pro owner and i am not convinced into buying a scorpio. Not at all.

    • Eddie Battikha

Its PS2 vs Xbox all over again, we know how that went last time and Xbox had more Exclusives compared to now LOL.

    • Knightrob Harshm

What are you smoking kid..Zero similarities between then and now.. the first Xbox had no brand recognition…Zero. It had one high end exclusive that actually sold systems. Now it has that brand recognition and and more than a few high end, AAA system selling franchises….Your comment is simply ignorant. Seems the Scorpio has un-nerved you… L…O…L

    • QUIMICOMORTAL

“more than a few high end, AAA”? You mean ALL THOSE THREE???

    • QUIMICOMORTAL

But ps4 is already superior to x1, x1s and scorpio in games!

What 2017×1 exclusives are you playing right now?

      On Scorpio? patapon, Miku, NiOh?

      Ahhhh. I see

    • That’s a PS4 Pro list, not a Scorpio list.

    • Triton

And add kingdom heart 1.5 2.5 native 4k 60fps LollDA rooster

    • Troy Marcel

You do realise they are remakes

  • Rafoca

while exclusive games matter, multiplatform games are like 90% of a console library. So we all end up buying more multiplat games in general. I have 6 exclusive Xbox games and all the rest are multiplat. If I owned a PlayStation I would have bought 2 exclusive games so far and the other games would be also multiplatform.

So having a console which delivers the best multiplat matters a lot to a lot of people

    • Bilal Prince-Ali

i hate that argument.. Because if it was all about the multiplats then why isn’t the Xbox One selling!!?
You people KEEP acting like the Scorpio is this new system and MS’ first system!! Theres LITERALLY a system out right now that isn’t doing ‘so well’ in terms of sales!! So if multiplats are sooooo important then why aren’t people out there buying the Xbox One!?

It’s not about which console has the best multiplats it’s about finding the best balance of 1st party and 3rd party, with the VERY important price point and word of mouth!

  • heavenshitman1

Didn’t bother reading the full article, but still, Scorpio’s specs (and PS4pro’s) are mostly moot. Will get some nice rez n frame bumbs, but games in future will still be chained to XB1. All gameplay features will have to run on XB1 due to CPU limitation, so its unlikely we’ll see any ‘bigger’ and ‘better’ games come about. Which would be a letdown considering what Scorpio will likely cost

    • XanderZane41

I’ll be running all my XB1 games on my Scorpio this fall. Going to get an 8TB external drive for it. I’ll be all set for a long, long time.

    • heavenshitman1

Yeah and I’m sure you’ll love it for all its worth, games will look nice. Though I’m doubting Scorpio will usher in any especially groundbreaking software thanks to its tie to XB1.
I honestly think they shoulda just offered a full new gen machine. Never owning an XBOX (or Playstation for that matter), I used kinect 1.0 once and thought it was awesome, so very sad to see such useful tech get tossed aside. If software was actually made for it, it coulda been great

    • Mark

Yeah but what devs are gonna make Scorpio exclusives knowing that it has 0 install base presently, vs the X1’s 30 million or PS4 60m? It just wouldn’t make sense, a catch 22

    • heavenshitman1

Understandable. I’m thinking more along the lines of even future 3rd party games, maybe destined for the PC, perhaps will struggle to port to Scorpio because any said game has to accomodate X1. Maybe, I dunno.

An example maybe mass online games with 64 users on a map, what happens if X1 CPU doesn’t tolerate that? Scorpio can’t get the game, or they just cut those online features from XB1 version only.

They did a demo with like 20 on screen cars for Scorpio, impressive, but would XB1 manage that comfortably too?

The basic point is Scorpio’s uber power may likely go highly unutilised

    • Mark

I hear u. I think Forza on Xbox can manage just at waay lower settings. All that I really want is 4k, 4k assets and hopefully ultra settings on most games. Also, I’d luv Microsoft to FORCE devs to provide a 60fps mode! Lmao

    • Gamez Rule

You got a 4K TV then? What you get in the end?

    • Mark

Heeeel no, lol. I mean when I cop one in the fall

    • Gamez Rule

Why are you posting… “All that I really want is 4k, 4k assets and hopefully ultra settings on most games” … when you don’t own a 4K TV as yet?

May I ask why you’re going on about 4K consoles then when you haven’t even got a 4K setup? And may I also ask how you can talk about PS4-Pro & compare native vs non-native gaming issues when not putting out 4K yourself or using PS4-Pro on a 4K TV?

I could understand you wanting 1080p gaming but not 4k when you don’t have 4k yourself yet.

    • Mark

Honestly Gamez I don’t know where I was talkin about the Pro, perhaps I was, but point that out for me if I was bro. But as for my excitement for 4k res, 4k assets etc, it’s because I will be getting a quality 4K tv this fall in conjunction wit Scorpio. So of course I want the highest image sharpness with 4K assets possible on console…to take full advantage of whatever 4K tv set I get. So my excitement isn’t about the now, it’s about 6 months from! U feel me. I’m hyped man, and the Scorpio is becoming my dream console come true

    • Gamez Rule

“Honestly Gamez I don’t know where I was talkin about the Pro, perhaps I was, but point that out for me if I was bro”

Well I remember when you was posting that if you was a PS fan and had the PS4-Pro that you’ll have fun and not worry about the power debate.

Then after a while you then was going on about how PS4-Pro will NEVER be on equal grounds to Scorpio and that Pro is losing in every department, and that Scorpio is going to beat Pro in every aspect of performance.

Then after a while you was posting that you really wanted to see games running at 1080p and 1440p with 60fps.

But now a while later you’re posting you want 4K, with 4K assets hopefully 60fps etc while not owning a 4k TV?

Each option is two months apart and seems that to me you don’t really know what you want? I know we all like a debate which is cool but from what I see you’re not sure what you wanted.

    • Mark

Why do I need a 4K tv to debate about a Pro vs Scorpio comparison? That’s arguing the facts, not if my setup is better than anyone’s man. That dude said the Pro’s image quality may EXCEED Scorpio’s…..so I replied. Why do I need a 4K tv, to counter that claim?

As for what I said, my first post mentions I want “a 1080p/60fps option”, an option. Did I say I didn’t want 4K? And again, why do I need a 4k tv RIGHT NOW, to be excited for what I’ll be getting later this year? Unless u feel I’m not qualified to talk about it?

    • Gamez Rule

Like i posted it seems that to me you don’t really know what you want? I know we all like
a debate which is cool but from what I see you’re not sure what you
wanted that’s why I asked about a 4K TV etc. ( see pic of your own posts )

One minute it’s not about power but fun, then it’s all about performance and power and specs, then it’s about you wanting 1080p – 1440p gaming, then it changes to 4K with 4K assets. Confused . com ☺

    • Mark

Nothing changed man, again where did I say I didn’t want 4k graphics? Where did I say I ONLY wanted 1080p 60fps? That’s not in my posts, clearly. 1080/60 as an option, an option. Ur assuming I’m changing because of the hype train that is Scorpio, but I’ve had a plan to upgrade to 4K since last E3….it’s kinda like ur saying, because I only have a 1080p tv, then that means I’m a 1080p gamer, like I couldn’t have already upgraded to 4k, or even PC. But I’m simply waiting for Scorpio brother

    • Gamez Rule

How can you have 4K with 4K assets at ultra settings on most games when also wanting a 1080p -1440p option? And if not at 60fps you’ll be upset? Makes no sense to me.

    • Mark

Gamez, when I said I wanted a 1080p or 1440p option, I was referring to a mode that can handle 60fps. Basically if the standard Scorpio game is 4k 30fps, I want an option to drop the res, and up the frame rate to 60 bro. Since I know Scorpio won’t run all games 4k/60, I want a lower res, higher frame option, it’s that simple

    • Mark

Understand the differences between what? Native 4k and non-native? Or simply 4k vs 1080p and 4k vs 1440p?

    • Gamez Rule

How can you have 4K with 4K assets at ultra settings on most games when also wanting a 1080p -1440p option?

    • Edonus

How can you want to be a pony when robots are so much cooler than horses?

You answered your own question……. its called Options d!ck.

    • Gamez Rule

      “it’s called options…. ****” LMAO!

At least I have options ☺

    • Mark

I want 4k res, 4k assets, and ultra settings in all games, but, being realistic we’ll prolly see some games not hit all those high marks. Most of these games will be 30fps on Scorpio by default. So, what I want in addition to that, is a mode where I can play the game at 60fps, and this will naturally drop the resolution. Think of the Nioh situation on the Pro; 1080p 30fps in movie mode (correct me here), or 720p 60fps in I think game mode or sumthin. So I want 2 options….2 different modes

    • Gamez Rule

With the 60fps mode on Nioh they cut back on graphics to keep framerates solid… They dropped to 30fps and added more graphical settings in that mode.

Now when you have a game running at 4K with 4K assets at ultra settings you’re not going to get better graphics when dropping to 1080p as you are already playing at the highest setting ( 4k mode ). So if you dropped to 1080p from 4K while not using 4K assets the 1080p drop will look poor compared to 4K mode? Even if dropping from 4K / 30fps / 4K Assets / Ultra Settings – to 1080p at 60fps the lower mode will look poor as the assets couldn’t be used.

    • Mark

Brother ur not telling me anything I don’t already know. It’s simply an option. PC players have to make trade-offs all the time between frame rate and higher settings…trade-offs that I want on Scorpio

    • Gamez Rule

Will you use 4k Assets at ultra settings while running at 1080p?

Can you drop if you want 4K assets?

So you want options that PS4-Pro offers gamers? Both a 1080p TV or a 4K TV?

    • Mark

Gamez ur over-complicating this whole thing. All that I want is a 4k mode that runs the best graphics settings, and in addition, I also want the option to run the game at 60fps if I choose, in which case the resolution and graphics will take a hit and prolly be 1080p or 1440p naturally…..that’s all bro.

    • Gamez Rule

I’m not over complicating things but if you wanted the same option like PS4-Pro offers gamers why not just state that then.

    • Mark

Why do I have to state that I want “the same options the Pro offers”? I clearly said I want 4k res, 4k assets, and ultra settings (that the Pro won’t offer on even half its games), and IN ADDITION, I want a 1080p or 1440p/60fps mode….it’s like ur the only one in here nitpicking, going thru my history and tryin to find contradictions with respect to this whole Scorpio/True 4k thing, I see u have issue with that. Not saying u can’t, cuz I respect ur opinion, but yes you’re nitpicking my comments to find contradictions, not, to understand what I’ve actually been saying. I want 2 modes, similar to the Pro, but that offers better performance than it can. Is that good?

    • Gamez Rule

      You posted..

“All that I really want is 4k, 4k assets and hopefully ultra settings on most games. Also, I’d luv Microsoft to FORCE devs to provide a 60fps mode!”

Now IF what you wanted happens ( 4k / 4k assets / ultra settings / 60fps ) why would you need a 1440p or 1080p version as it wouldn’t be worth it☺ ( see the confusion.. I’ll explain below )

IF a game runs at 4k with 4k assets at ultra settings at 30fps than MS still wouldn’t need to drop from 4K to 1440p or 1080p as all what needs too take place is the ultra settings turned down to Med-High settings to reach the 60fps ( IF that game can be played on both 30fps and 60fps ) so no need for 1080p options hence why MS stated Scorpio is a *TRUE 4K Gaming* console.

    • Mark

I mentioned 1080p/1440p at 60fps as a SAFE expectation. I honestly don’t see Scorpio doing 4k/60 on ALL games. Why would I? Microsoft never said it would do 4k/60fps on all games. Therefore I’m guessing (a safe bet) that res will drop to 1080 or 1440p when running in 60fps mode. That’s in my estimation. Now Forza would naturally stay 4k/60 cuz it’s engine is built that way, but most games will be 30fps. As for your estimate that res will stay at 4k even in 60fps, with settings dropped, well u don’t know that, but for you that’s ur opinion fine, I don’t share that one. For example, Microsoft may want to keep the 60fps mode at ultra settings, or max even, so they may run at 1080 or 1440 in that mode. You’re assuming they’ll drop settings to med-high, but I don’t share that opinion. Anyway I’m not arguing over that, too time consuming. I’m simply saying I want 2 modes. But u keep harping on this thing about “True 4k”…..they never said Scorpio would do 4k/60fps on all games! Please find me a quote that says that. Until then, my posts have clearly been reasonable, and it seems ur the only one in here nitpicking this 4k thing. I’m not attacking u personally just want u to see how that looks…ur putting words into Phil’s mouth, and then arguing about it, to the point where you’ve combed thru my history, and making a big deal outta what I want with 4k, because ultimately you feel I’m not qualified to talk about it. So in conclusion I simply want 2 modes. And What u choose to see with this thing is on you bro, it’s ur eyeballs.

    • Mark

When I mentioned “I would get a Pro, have fun and leave the power debate alone” the meaning was that some Playstation fans still feel the need for their system to remain superior, evidenced by this nut saying the Pro will have BETTER image quality than Scorpio. He said that, not based on good analysis, but on his feeling of needing to have the better system…typical fanboy logic. So, my point to him was to “have fun” and let that pride go.

    • heavenshitman1

Well it sounds like that for whatever game Scorpio is making exactly that the prime target for at least all current and near future software

      4k 60fps

Im still presuming Scorpio is gonna pioneer its own high end VR perhaps

    • Mark

Heaven I highly doubt it’ll be 4k 60fps on most games man, almost certainly 4k/30 at very high or ultra, most games. Devs will push 4k/30 for RPGs, single player games and anything not racing, fighting and shooting…..then again that sounds like half! Ahaha. Man I guess we gotta just wait, but 4k/60 on most games is asking for a freakin alien aircraft lol

    • LifeOnMars

You won’t be able to fill it with games before Xbox Two comes out.

    • So sad ur getting a Scorpio.. its better to get a PS4 and play some grown up peoples games.

You will regret buying a Scorpio.. but it’s your choice.

    • angryguy77

I doubt it, they can make games that are huge for scorpio by making the x1 version with fewer bells and whistles.

    • heavenshitman1

Graphics wise it may all be prettier, but a game that requires more CPU intensive physics, AI, streaming capabilities, on screen NPCs etc… than what XB1 offers won’t happen for Scorpio.
The complexity of games will be about identical to what everyones already seen on XB1

    • angryguy77

They can do quite a bit just by reducing certain assets on the x1 if they want to accomplish the addition of certain things on the scorpio. The PC market has been doing this for decades.

I’m of the belief we could see a lot better AI on the x1 and ps4 if the developers wanted to do so. Halo CE still has some of the best AI I’ve played against, and that was on ancient hardware. The tech is there for better AI, but developers are not programing for that imo.

    • heavenshitman1

Yeah actually, developers (and publishers) are the biggest problem in the industry. Its not the hardware resources, its lack of game design. Most just follow status quo designs.

I got a Switch. And I have to praise and boast of BOTW outmatching so many big time games on such feeble hardware.
Even against Horizon Zero Dawn on the far more powerful PS4, Zelda’s technical achievements make Horizon look a little dull.
Check out comparison vids on youtube. Horizon is pretty, but looks daft when nothing’s interactive and physics are poor

  • LifeOnMars

It’s not rocket science, Scorpio is a year later and will be at least than $100 more.

    • Living While Alive

      399 already confirmed.

I did my research go do you’re own.

      No disrespect

    • LifeOnMars

If it is $399 it will sell OK, Lets hope it gets 3rd party support that makes use of the power.

    • angryguy77

if it’s $399, it’s going to do much better than ok.

    • LifeOnMars

Much better than the Xbox One,that’s for sure.

    • Bilal Prince-Ali

much MUCH better than OK!!!! loool

    • C. Hoffer

Wonder what the One S will sell for?
If Scorpio is $399, it should sell for $99(500GB) or $129(1TB) to reflect actual value in comparison to Scorpio.

    • quantum

I’ve seen the same article about the price, but it hasn’t been confirmed.
I hope it is 399 but I have my doubts, I think it will me more like 499 given the specs but I hope I will be proven wrong.

    • Eddie Battikha

      $499 it is

    • Cenk Algu

In your dreams Yes it is.

    • Bilal Prince-Ali

what confirmation are you talking about you fool!!? ¬__¬ loool

    • QUIMICOMORTAL
    • Goodfellas 🙂

    • justerthought

No disrespect but where is all this evidence you have researched. You’re probably reading biased sources telling you what you want to hear. In any case $399 is still 12 months more expensive than a PS4 Pro, plus the PS4 Pro will reduce to around $300 as production costs lower over time when the XB Scorpio launches.

    • Tomaterrrx

      What confirmation?

    • Mark

      True

  • XanderZane41

It’s pretty obvious that the Scorpio is much more powerful then the PS4 Pro. Whereas the PS4 was about 20-25% more powerful then the XB1, the Scorpio is about 40-45% more powerful then the PS4 Pro. It’ll be interesting to see games like Battlefield 1 and Battlefront 2 running of the PS4 Pro and Scorpio side-by-side. Interested and seeing DF comparisons this fall.

Such ignorance but what else would I expect from a ms fanboy.

      Xb1: 1.75GHz 8-core Jaguar CPU +9.375% more
      Xb1: 853MHz GPU +6.625% more
      Xb1: 12 CU -50% less
Xb1: 1.31 TF GPU (12 CU) for games -40% less

      Xb1: 13.65GPixels/s -88% less
      Xb1: 40.90GTexels/s -40% less

      PS4: 1.60GHz 8-core Jaguar CPU -9.375% less
      PS4: 800MHz GPU -6.625% less
      PS4: 18 CU +50% more
      PS4: 1.843TF GPU (18 CU) for games 40% more

The Scorpio is at best 43% higher TF, so the difference between the Scorpio and Pro is actually smaller than the difference between the X1 and PS4. And thanks to diminishing returns, the differences will be even smaller and less noticeable than they were between the PS4 and the X1.

    • Mr Xrat

Not only did you get the PS4-Xbone power difference wrong, you failed to mention the fact the Shitpio will be held back by the base Xbone too.

      Typical Xgimp.

  • Fear Monkey

I remember all the xbox fans saying resolution and framerate doesnt matter now its all “scorpio has deh powah, crush PSpro it will!” LOL! Seriously, a box that comes a year after the PS Pro is more powerful, what a shocker! I may get a Scorpio but waiting to see the games and benefits first. But the PS4/PSPro has such a large install base and years of investment into that platform, I seriously doubt its going to hurt PS4 this gen. I hope im wrong though, competition is a good thing for us consumers, i dont want one company to win all the time.

    • angryguy77

I think a lot of this is just a bit of payback for resolutiongate. Be prepared, what you’re seeing now is nothing compared to what you’ll see after e3 and the scorpio launch. I’ll be honest, I’ll probably have a bit of fun with it. 2013-2015 were time periods you couldn’t go to a site like this and not get shouted down by sony fans. Yes, I know they’re not all like that, but there were a lot that were.

I would tell sony fans that it’s not wise to make such a big deal out of this because the nature of the business is cyclical. You know what they say, what goes around….

    • Fear Monkey

Yeah but as a Xbox fan I remember in my Xbox versus PS2 and Xbox 360 versus PS3 days that the Xbox was ahead tech wise. The Xbox having that demo where the leaf texture was 4mb which was the total video memory space on the PS2, or the Xbox 360’s games being 720-900p when the PS3’s were below 720p and the earliest PS3 games having no antialising. We Xbox owners started the whole tech war really, and then Don “I love my media more than games” had to screw it up on Xbox One.

Funny thing is I never thought MS would be beat by Sony power wise, Scorpio is bringing Xbox One back to what it should have been to begin with.

I’m platform agnostic but have alot of love for Xbox, its just funny hearing how its turned around again, but I hate to say it, Xbox fans started it lol. (i’m guilty, i used to rib PS3 and PS2 owners)

    • angryguy77

hahah you might be correct. I’m not saying your wrong, but I don’t remember seeing it to the degree that I saw it in 2013-present.

I think this might be due to more people have easier access to the net. Idk, but regardless, we’re going to be entertained for the next several months.

    • Fear Monkey

When I bought my original Xbox launch day, there wasnt anyone waiting in line with me to get one. I told the guy at the store im here to get my Xbox pre-order and he laughed and said im wasting my money and I should get a PS2. When I rented my first game at Blockbuster for that Xbox, a guy saw me looking over the games and asked me if I owned one. He said I was stupid to buy that MS POS and he had a PS2. So I understand that frustration well lol, im sure Scorpio will give tormented Xbox Fans some much needed payback lol. Xbox fans started the tech war, but I think Sony started the arrogant attitude back with the PS1 versus Sega Saturn. So thinking back on it, It was Sony that started the attitude wars which brought Sega and Xbox fans to hate them. So thinking on it, it was Sony’t fault lol.

    • Holeybartender

You should’ve listened to that guy.

    • C. Hoffer

I don’t think “Sony” started anything. It was fans that noticed one system had more games and was simply a better purchase than the other. That quickly translated into fans that simply *thought* their system was better because that’s what they had but had no real basis on utilization of system hardware, games, total system sales, etc.. Ugh…

    • Fear Monkey

I’ve done some reading on the launch of the PS1 against the Sega Saturn in books about the game industry. Sony’s people were rudely making fun of Sega’s people when they announced the low price of the PS1 $299 then $199 compared to the Saturn $399 and $299. Sony’s Ken Kutaragi was highly competitive and brought that attitude to his team which carried into Sony in general. Sony was arrogant towards their competitors and that carried over into the fans. As someone else noted though, that kind of behavior started with Sega versus Nintendo. Previous consoles didn’t really have the same level of animosity and competitiveness. Sony though took it to a new level with “If you still want a Saturn your head is in Uranus” lol!
      https://www.pinterest.com/pin/310255861805457042/

    • Holeybartender

No you Xbox fanboys never started the whole tech war thing. That is reserved for the Sega CD and SNES and the gaming magazines of the 90’s. All hail the 90’s!!!!

    • Cenk Algu

You are not an Xbox Fan you are a dreamer.

    • J.j. Barrington

You mean like how Xbox fans were touting their “superior” console in the 360 era?

You mean the Xbox fans that said there was no way the XB1 would be weaker than the PS4 before the start of this generation?

    • angryguy77

oh look, I have a groupie. Have you started a fanclub in my honor yet? Let me know and I can send you my bio.

    • J.j. Barrington

It’s just interesting to go into multiple different articles and see you spouting the same delusional rhetoric. I figure if I don’t respond, you’ll just be ignored.

    • angryguy77

How’s that fanclub newsletter coming along?

    • Mark

      Lol

    • Barry Harden

Most of the Sony gamers were busy playing ….games. Which is more than I can say right now for XBone owners.

I’m going to laugh when you clowns see how much your XBone console is worth when you try to trade it in for a $500-$600 Scorpio.

    • Cenk Algu

      Sad Pony + very Salty

    • Barry Harden

Sad XBoner + sad sales = Sad outcome

    • angryguy77

Well when you have a good paying job, you don’t worry too much about trade in value.

and how hard are you going to cry when they sell this thing cheaper than you expect?

    • Barry Harden

Either Micro$oft eats the cost and sells the Scorpio at a loss or it becomes so expensive that only hardcore XBone owners would pay for that upfront.

Either way someone’s gonna pay so I ain’t crying.

    • C. Hoffer

I commented on much the same (how more power didn’t mean anything and higher resolution doesn’t matter) in a previous article and got B*’ed at for tossing that in ‘their’ faces…whoever they are…. I’m thinking rabid Xbox fans. lol

  • Ucouldntbemorewrong

Why is there even an article on this? No kidding Scorpio will be stronger. But with such a huge PS4 install base, and the exclusive waterfall of games first quarter, Scorpio is not going to turn it around for MS. Just like Pro & Scorpio is for the hardcore/4KTV, I don’t think many will be purchased. Those not yet in this generation could see adoption of Scorpio, but again if your “friend” base is on a certain platform already, that might be favoring PS4. E3 will be real interesting this year MS need to come to the table with some new exclusive IP’s other than what has been mentioned already, perhaps that is what the dry spell is about this quarter holding back for E3. Although MS tends to have a dry years and release near holiday season, while Sony does the opposite. Either way can’t wait to see what Sony, MS, Nintendo have in the waiting. Come on E3!

    • Mark

Yeah we need to see some new IP by Microsoft indeed

  • WhyWai

a new console releasing one year after another older console is more powerful !?
    How novelty is that!

    • theduckofdeath

MS stresses the “most powerful console” thing because:

      1. Releasing 1 or more years later does not guarantee a performance edge (e.g. any Nintendo console release)

      2. XB1 did not perform as well at games as PS4

      3. Scorpio will be definitely and demonstratively more powerful that all existing consoles at release

      4. MS wants Scorpio on people’s minds and in their conversations in the period leading up to release

      5. Scorpio will have a premium price

So yes, it is relevant to keep bringing up the performance edge.

    • crazy_black_man-

“So yes, it is irrelevant to keep bringing up the performance edge when you aint got no damn games to show it off with”.

    • Wuddup my bro!? Keep your PS4 Pro shiny and clean. 😉

    • crazy_black_man-

      As always!

  • LifeOnMars

Dam I must have missed this, When do you buy your Scorpio ?

  • Mark

Arjun u forgot to mention how FreeSync 2.0 will impact screen tearing and other things on Scorpio….then again we don’t even have FreeSync TVs yet! Nevermind

  • Mark

Ur right, PS4 will outsell Scorpio, I’d bet on it. But PS4 will be waay lower priced. However as gamers I think we should be excited for new tech within the console market.

    • Bilal Prince-Ali

      1000% what i keep telling people…

Im SOOO excited for the Scorpio and i hope it helps propel the industry forward like the original Xbox did!!! It’s just annoying reading these stupid fanboys comments when they literally dont know what they’re talking about!

    • Mark

I always say, don’t fight fire with fire, the better outcome happens only when people are neutral. All of us are prolly grown men who work, why not argue with the fact that this is only gaming? That’s cuz people naturally get attached to what they prefer, but it blinds people straight up

    • Bilal Prince-Ali

it’s insane!!!!!!!!!!!!!! People always see me in these comment sections arguing with people… but im NEVER hating on the product itself but what the blinded fanboys are talking about…. you gotta combat the hyperbole with logic!

  • Edonus

Gaming media bias……. articles like this that dont really tell the consumer what they are getting and in most parts knock down the significance of what the console is delivering.
The gaming media has been attacking the scorpio since before the spec reveal.
Real gamers and gaming enthusiast will flock to the Scorpio.

Commercial gamers and casual s will continue to follow until MS figures out a away to mitigate the power of the bias gaming media.

    • Bilal Prince-Ali

it has nothign to do with media bias! it has everything to do with product marketing and PRICE!!!!! IF MS dont get all those things right it only has itself to blame!

The Scoripio will NEVER have mass audience appeal due to price alone… And “real gamers and gaming enthusiasts” didn’t flock to the Xbox one..? So were they not ‘real gamers’ or ‘gaming enthusiasts’ either!? ¬__¬

    • Edonus

It has everything to do with bias media…… Lets say I have restaurant and it serves the best steak in the city… But the local news anchor hates me…..no one will know how good my food is even if there is some the masses will not. All information filters through the media. If they have decided to work against you or get some kind of benefit for working against you.

Actually the Xbox One has lots of real gamers and enthusiasts…. they are still consumers and some of them took and are taking a longer time to get to the X1 because the media bias scared and pushed them away. As more people realize how much BS they have been fed they come on over.

That is why I say MS and Xbox Ones biggest enemy has not been the Ps4 its the gaming media.

    • C. Hoffer

I mostly agree with your comments…right up until you mentioned that no one likes buying the One because the media has chased them off….
I, for one, can tell you I held off buying a One because I knew it was a complete piece of junk in comparison to the PS4. Knew it before it was released, when it released and again when the One S arrived. The S should have been the original design.

I approved of the One S redesign but found it boggling that they couldn’t improve it more than they did. I ONLY bought a One S because I gave away my 360 to one of my kids and I wanted to play older games (compatibility mode) with them online.
When Scorpio hits I will chuck this One S out the door as fast as I can. Anything less than $800 is an instant GO on purchase just so I don’t have to have such a hunk of junk in my home. At least the One S design is much nicer….

    • QUIMICOMORTAL

Don’t you see @Edonus:disqus is a sworn x bot that cannot handle reality so he blames the media for it?

Every single article youll say him claiming the same: Media bias! As if Sony had more money than M$ to by the all press, but he offers no proof and he explodes when you present him proof.

    • Bilal Prince-Ali

yeahh he seems deranged! Media bias but doesn’t even delve into it! These gaming ‘journalists’ dont have an affiliation! they ONLY care about the clicks and money!

    • Every captain must go down with it’s ship.. and the scorpio is sinking and there are no lifeboats to save it’s passengers. Edonus is one of those passengers..

    • Mr Xrat

There is no bias. The Xbone is garbage, and the Shitpio has no games and a cancerous community.

    • Edonus

I have said it before and I will say it again……

The question is not “Is there a gaming media bias against the Xbox One?”
The real question is “Are you a c#$ksucking fa%$ot ?”.

This is because there is clearly 100% clear as day a gaming media bias, but only a c#$ksucking fa%$ot would deny it or can’t see it.

      So I ask you the question…… Are you a c#$ksucking fa%$ot ?

    • I prefer reading mr.Xrat than reading your foul mouthed rant.. no wonder nobody wants a Scorpio lol

    • Edonus

      Confirmed Rebelox = c#$ksucking fa%$ot

I have seen 3 of your comments to me and none of them have added any perspective to the conversation or moved it forward.

You dont have to comment to anything I write ever again…. You have quickly lost the privilege of cordial conversation.

    • Who wants to talk to you anyway?.. move over to the kiddie box shitpio trashhead.

    • Edonus

Who wants to talk to you anyway?……..

      Apparently you do.

You could always STFU and leave me alone.

    • Learned Handgun

“shitpio trashhead,” nothing ironic about telling him to go to the kiddie box?

    • The truth hurts doesnt it?! You xbox fanboys are a disgrace to the whole gaming community. Smh.

No wonder xbox is in trouble.

    • Edonus

So let me get this right………

Xbox is in trouble because you are a c#$ksucking fa%$ot…..

      ***Mind Blown***

    • Zzzzz…

    • Scorpio 4k meltmode = on

    • quantum

That’s hilariously ironic coming from the most biased and cancerous person in the comment section.
BTW I see you have been busy making even more sockpuppets to upvote your lame comments. Hilariously sad.

    • Jose Arcadio Morales

      yeah , s-fag drowning…..

    • Cenk Algu

You and your other 1.000 Accounts are cancerous not Xbox Fans you lifeless Rat.

    • The Scorpio is a shitbox that’s not worth anything.

      PS4 life!! 4 ever!! 😉

    • Triton

      So desperate.

    • Cenk Algu

for ifeless people like you,yes it is life but not for us.

    • I feel sorry for you.. the Scorpio is going to be so dissapointing.. smh.. but go ahead waste your money.

    • Cenk Algu

yes you are right. The Scorpio will cause alot of dissapointments among you Sony slaves.

    • Convince me again on why i should buy a xbox Scorpio being a PS4 Pro owner?..

When ‘Gran Turismo Sport’ drops nobody will remember the xbox anymore.. Scorpio is an epic fail.

    • orion

“,yes it is life but not for us.”
Sorry to intrude but that’s right you guys prefers to have to wait 4 years to finally put your hands on the most powerful console. Yet with no compelling games.

      LMAO cenk the idiot.

    • Mr Xrat

Go beg developers to use DX12 more, Cronk.

    • Cenk Algu

no need to beg they will little Rat.PC and Xbox are 2 platforms using it.You better go beg devs to use secret sauce FP16 lol haha!!!

    • QUIMICOMORTAL

If media is hiding the truth….THEN EXPOSE THE TRUTH!

Please! tell us all about those 2017 x1 exclusives released already tha media has tried so hard to hide!

      …. I’m waiting!

    • Edonus

Why are you talking to me? Why are you so obsessed with me?….. Stop talking to me.

    • QUIMICOMORTAL

If you are so determined to exhibit your ignorance on the internet you have to be prepared to be corrected by more knowledgeable users!

      OH!!! User bias!!!!!!!

      LOL

    • Edonus

I havent been corrected on anything yet….. All I get back is “you’re crazy” or “you’re wrong” or “you’re a fanboy”…. nothing that actually comes to a real point about anything……

You never see me in comment talking about PsBore or crapstation 4.

Then weirdos like you follow me around attacking me and having little side conversations about me with their duplicate profiles……. what losers….. its pathetic.

    • QUIMICOMORTAL

      Keep talking… https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/15ef023fa9649abb23b90b82d97549aea43788c9c5922c28015eae2771dd4299.png
Boom! So I didn’t correct you? And look at your response typical of a fanboy having a melt down.

You keep lying! I’ll keep exposing your lies and correcting them!

    • Edonus

No…. you just said a bunch of dumb $h!t that didnt move the conversation forward. Thats why I said for you to stop talking to me. You have a delusional view of the world or at least the shill policies you are forced to follow make you have this view.
      Again Stop talking to me…….

    • QUIMICOMORTAL

See? When you say lies like those you become such an easy prey to be fact spanked!
You just accused me of saying to you “you’re crazy” or “you’re wrong” or “you’re a fanboy” and I showed you how wrong you were!
And as soon as reality hits you and you can’t counter it you call it dumb $h¡t and have a melt down!
If I was lying, you would be the first to expose my lie, but since you can’t you rather make a tantrum! That’s why it’s so easy for me to fact spank you and why you will always be my b.tch!

    • This Edonus dude is clearly Microsoft sponsored lol.. scorpio damage control team.

    • QUIMICOMORTAL

Nah! They have tons of money but they don’t waste it!

This @Edonus guy is worthless! He can’t even make decent arguments.

If they weren’t convinced to pay for scalebound, you think they would waste a cent on this loser?

    • Psbore? Crapstation 4?.. hold it right there son.

PS4 players are much friendlier than you xbox bots will ever be. That’s why no selfrespecting PS4 owner will ever buy a Scorpio.

Seriously.. people like you is the reason i hate MS and xbox.

    • Hahah ur right.. the Scorpio is already failed.

And MS said this will be the last console they make.

      RIP Xbox 2017

    • angryguy77

Because to them, being a fan of Sony is a religion. You cannot say anything negative about that company without getting flamed by these clowns.

Notice most xbox fans will concede MS isn’t perfect and there’s always room for growth. You never see a sony fan admit to their beloved brand doing something wrong. They always inject an excuse into the debate.

    • QUIMICOMORTAL

Thats cause you are terrible at pointing the real flaws ps4 has!

Like this @Edonus:disqus clown, all he can come up is “media bias!”

The ps4 has flaws, Sony definetly has flaws! but still the ps4 is the console with the best hardware and software! (until scorpio releases with better hardware). And that is what matters most on a console, hardware and software!

    • angryguy77

NG4 had nothing but its front page filled with negative “opinion” pieces about the scorpio for several days straight.

Next time you go to a site, take off your fanboy hate and try and look at it with an open mind.

MS is literally doing everything the people who bashed back in 2013 wanted them to do, yet you get people like yourself and articles like this bashing them.

      Its old and tired.

    • Hahah.. it’s an uphill battle for Scorpio, good luck with that!

..i am waiting for the PS5 and skipping the Scorpio 🙂

    • QUIMICOMORTAL

Riiiigth! So where are those 2017 x1 exclusives the media keeps giving MS heat for its absence?

Next time you post, take off your fanboy hat and think if they really exist or is the media hiding them?

    • Lol the Scorpio is a scam.. it’s not worth it getting the scorpio.. i will spend my scorpio money on a GTX 1080 and play in “true 4k” at 60 fps on my.. PC.

    • Edonus

You are shilling really had right now. You are in a Xbox One vs Ps4 Pro comparison article talking about about buying PC parts…… right after you said you would skip the Scorpio and wait for Ps5……..I guess you have been emboldened by your new lover QUIMCOMORAL (whatever his name is) thats if you’re not the same person.

    • I’ll probably build a PC with a gtx1080 /Ci7 7700k and then wait for the PS5.

    • Lol.. the scorpio cant do anything. It will melt when you start playing in 4k.. RROD all over again :).. should be fun watching it melt.

  • kee1haul

I’ll be saying something along the lines of PS4 Pro peasant.

  • Bilal Prince-Ali

wow.. Gamingbolt is reallyyy stretching out these Scorpio stories!! lool…

I think everybody and their mommmas know the beast that is the Scorpio! we know the system is wayyy better than the Pro.. we know the difference simply off of numbers.. ¬__¬ behave yourselves Gamingbolt!
