Look, the image can be both a Manji, and a Swastika.
BUT, BEFORE THE NAZIS CAME ALONG, IT USED TO JUST BE A MANJI, A SYMBOL OF PEACE AND HARMONY.
The Nazis then took the symbol, turned it into a symbol for their own campaigns. The idea for it was that the Swastikia was a "flipped Manji" but over time that got forgotten, so the Swastika was made a two way symbol.

As a symbol, it is in itself a Manji symbol. Unless it's specifically the opposite way to which a Manji should be, aka unless it's close-wise; Since the Manji is anti-clockwise while the Swastika can be both anti-closewise AND clockwise, you should assume it's supposed to be a Manji unless there's some reason as to why they would put a Swastika in there.
That's the most logical thing, since TYPICALLY, Swastika's ARE drawn as being clockwise, plus the Manji has been around for thousands of years and therefore is more likely to be what something is trying to reference then something that's only been around since the middle of the 1900s.

Manji is actually just the japanese name given to swastikas. Both the left turned and right turned swastikas are manjis.
The original swastikas could either be right turned or left turned, with 4 dots and were considered as a good luck symbol.
This swastika in zelda though has nothing to do with nazis, since nazis only used the right turned swastika, and nazis never called it manji (obviously since they weren't japanese).

I'm sick of hearing things about the use of this symbol like everyone was for nazis without knowing where it came from or the difference between them being right turned or left turned. (talking about the author of this article, not you)
It's the same thing with the original pentagram which was a good symbol and the satanists version of it which is just reversed.
