You probably Googled a Crysis user made mod. Crysis’s textures look like PS2 textures after playing Crysis 2 (High Res Pack), Hitman: Absolution, The Witcher 2, etc. Crysis was far surpassed by it’s sequel in every regard, especially the stunning DX11 lighting. I’d argue Bulletstorm for best looking Unreal game this gen.

I do agree Multiplat games look best on PC. Like BF3, COD series etc. But some of the console exclusive look great too. Since they are optimised for consoles.
Also Gears 1 on PC doesn’t looks better than Gear 3 on 360, Since the later runs on much better technology. But it does looks better than Gears 1 on 360.

Although at time when Gears 1 was released 8800 GTx was the best GPU for PC and only that card could surpass the 360 version back then.
