I didn’t now they’d even made 10 games. I thought Valve mainly just recruited modders who made the games and then slapped their logo on it, or else they just took over other franchises that were made by other people. Case in point: Counter-Strike. At least that wasn’t on the list. Oh, and Portal, Team Fortress, Day of Defeat, DotA, etc. They were all originally games or mods made by other devs or modders.

Still, to their credit, the games they have made are pretty damn good. That’s the Half-Life series and the Left 4 Dead series. Those are what I consider “true” Valve titles.

This is pretty much just a list of games Valve has made through the years. Now please make a list of titles that didn’t make the cut. How many are left out?

Also, how should Counter-Strike:Source and Day of Defeat:Source factor in as anything significant? The source versions are just remakes of the third party-developed mods CS and DoD. Whatever makes CS and DoD worth mentioning as games is not a product of Valve’s effort, but the efforts of he original mod teams.
