I Paid for Tf2 even though it was F2P because I didn’t know the digital
copy was free already. And I’m glad I did! For one: you support people
who make games you enjoy, and second, I was rewarded with premium
account and exclusive content…. so what’s the problem?

That comment about WOW clones …. WOW! Wow is a rip of EVERYTHING it comes in contact with. And they do not even try to hide it. World was a clone of EQ and Asherons Call. Lets not ever forget that.

Actually, the Transfer to F2P for TF2 went a lot more than they expected, Plus with the addition of the Steam Workshop, things have been going great for Valve when it comes to the popular Team-based(and I use that term lightly in some cases that involves Team Fortress 2) FPS Video Game. They make it easy to become “Premium” on TF2. All you have to do is spend a fair amount of money in the In-game shop, and BAM! premium power! Now if we want to talk about Bullshit F2P, there’s WoW’s rendition of it, but that’s for another time.

So, the real issue here is not F2P as such, but changing from a purchase/subscription model to F2P. If that is the case, then I completely agree.
