Queue up all the console users that think having more choices is a bad thing. Yes, it’s more work for game developers to try to make their games work well across all the varied hardware and OS configurations. There’s not much defense against bad programming, but I could change hardware TODAY if it helps, or if that new game doesn’t run so well on “Ultra”.

That’s OK, it’s human nature to resent things you don’t have. Ask anyone that doesn’t have an air conditioner, they’ll tell you they don’t like them, they are bad for the environment, etc. Similar for people that don’t have a car.

Enjoy that $70 game I paid $9.99 for… I don’t need to resell it, thanks. I might want to download it and play it again some day. Perhaps on a different OS platform (e.g. Linux, Apple), even. Maybe I do want to buy a new release right away at full price… I can get a full refund for all game content with a few mouse clicks if it’s poorly implemented crap. I’ll usually know in the first 20 minutes if I’m keeping it or not. I can even buy it again down the road, after it’s had 18 Gb of updates, when it’s marked down to near nothing in a desperation sale.

you cant resell games on PC sure but you cant resell any digitally bought stuff on console to.
How is wanting the best hardware a problem?
Ubisoft Games on Steam Need Uplay…. i think you need to be logged into uplay on console to
Large Backlogs… BS, all i hear is console guys talking about there backlogs on consoles. Oh its ok if x game is delayed ive got a huge backlog anyway
Console Exclusives, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Sunset Overdrive, etc…. LMAO thats 3 different platforms needing 3 separate pieces of hardware and if a pc gamer or any other console gamer wanted to play one of those games the base hardware second hand is very cheap now

actually the reselling part can be bypassed by creating a new account for specific games that you think maybe resold, but…it is tedious. I did it for ghost recon wildlands

You interestingly forgot one big problem, and it might be the biggest afterall: cheating.

PC is a cheaters heaven and most gamers don’t even realize it. If this problem won’t get solved, PC might one day stand for “Persistent Cheating” 😉

2005-2009 – Console gaming
2010-2019 – PC gaming (for better graphics and framerates)
2020- ……. – Going back to the PS5 gaming

Bugs & bad ports (Nier Automata, Titanfall 2 etc.) is driving me back to console gaming once PS5 appears. My time is limited. Instead of enjoying the game, I’m wasting time figuring how to get it working on PC. 🙁
