Is is a straight up 3rd person shooter, no options 4 a FPS view. All the games have been this way. If u have played GRAW 1 or 2 u have a similar idea of what 2 expect. Very tactical, 1 shot ur dead type of game.

In reply to Thatruth86. Wait there's a beta for this? Plus pisses me off, it used to be if there was a demo of any kind you just got it automatically. Now you gotta pay extra for a subscrition to most of the good demos.

I hope this new SOCOM brings something fresh to the table. I’m tired of seeing the same thing from these 3rd person shooters over and over.

I have never actually played a SOCOM game before so I have no loyalty to the series and have no desire to start now….that being said…if this SOCOM game comes out to rave reviews I may pick it up.

can you chose to turn it to first person? or is it a 3rd person shooter all the way?

last time i played 3rd person shooter was resident evil 5.
this one looks weird somehow, as if war and shooter should be first person. in terms of the graphics, not bad. but should be better

Maybe they’re leading towards Ghost Recon with this installment. I mean, I’ve never played SOCOM — yes I haven’t — but from my point of view GR was always more action packed.
