When one buys a game that is far from complete, only to discover that the company is far too busy trying to up sell more and more, without taking the time to complete their original release, it does feel as though one is being shafted deep. The whole concept of DLC is obscene to me. It is obvious that these games have been hacked to pieces just so their parts can be sold separately, leaving the original release only a shadow of it's true form. If there is going to be an add-on then release it whole. Have some respect for the art, have some respect for your customer. If it wasn't for Bioware, I would never ever spend a cent on EA releases. Alas now EA has made Bioware into a company of programers and stockbrokers, taking away the beauty, the artistic creativity, complexity and quality; just to try and leech more and more from the public.

Always on-line isn't just about Piracy. Always online also exist to prevent users from modding the game (like we did with all other SimCity), in the case of SimCity 2013, they prevent gamers from modding the game so they can sell more DLC (two DLC are already available).
Another big problem with EA's new SimCity is that gamers can't resell the game in a few months from now when they are done with it. No more used games on Craig's list. So, EA's always online is not to fight piracy but to squeeze more out of already paying customers.
