Take a look at Microsofts unit advantage of $900 Million on their surface tablets. No one bought them so now they have a huge loss on their hands.

I’m sure Microsoft will not have to eat the cost their consoles like it is having to on their tablets, but this means nothing other than:

“Microsoft is making more consoles for the holiday season.”

Perhaps Microsoft is betting that people will not be able to buy the $400 next-gen console they want, so they will buy the $500 console they don’t want. Personally I think Microsoft is betting on the wrong horse – people are going to wait and see what happens with the next-gen console race especially with launch titles being generally forgettable.

PS – According to Amazon PS4 is still outselling the Xbox One in literally every country and has since launch. At the moment in the United States The Xbox One Launch is at position #6 in sales this year – while the PS4 is at position #3, 45 & 86.
