The charts for boxed video games sales in the UK for last week are in, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons reclaims the top spot (via GamesIndustry). That’s where the game has been (or at least hovering around that spot) pretty much since it’s launch year ago, but last week saw Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales toppling it to claim the top spot. With Animal Crossing back on top, Miles Morales drops down to third place, while Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury takes the second spot.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Grand Theft Auto 5, the evergreen duo that refuses to stop selling come hell or high water, rounds at the top 5 in fourth and fifth places respectively. Interestingly enough, the excellent roguelike action title Hades saw its physical release for the Switch last week, and even managed to crack into the top 10, debuting in seventh place.
Super Mario 3D All-Stars, which is not going to be on sale for much longer, has taken the eighth spot. Meanwhile, frequent fixtures in these charts like Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, the Switch version of Minecraft, and Minecraft Dungeons are also in the charts.
