i think they can compete with app store by working on xbox live games on phones. maybe they can make softwares for tables and work on the zune market as an alternative to itunes. the monthly subscription is smart.

It’s hard for Microsoft to compete with that when they only have Xbox and the Zune. And the Ipad/iphone cost more than the Xbox.
