Last year, Bohemia Interactive released Arma 3, the latest installment in their uber realistic military sim series; Arma 3 has since seen extraordinary post launch support, even as Bohemia has continued to support it. However, now they have announced that they will be retiring the venerable Arma 2 Free, the free to play option based on Arma 2, on April 22, 2014, nearly three years after the game was first made available.
To celebrate the game’s longevity, and to thank fans, Bohemia has also announced that the entire Arma franchise will be available for 75% off on the Bohemia Store on their official website, which makes this a great time to jump on Arma 2 or Amra 3, especially given the extraordinary community and developer support that the two games currently enjoy.
Arma 3 released last year exclusively on PC. Bohemia Interactive is currently working on the standalone version of DayZ, which started out as a mod for Arma 2. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage.
