No.... MS doesnt care about resolution. They care about perception and the gaming hive mind has made it so that the gaming community thinks higher resolution means better. They needed and need to reshape the power and performance conversation. People are just accepting this notion that the Ps4 is more powerful and will always perform better and the key word is "ALWAYS" not sometime perform better or sometime be the same but ALWAYS be better and even if you want to believe that the Ps4 has more "power" that statement is not rue and every time the X1 has a game that matches the resolution or frame rate it should expose how the gaming media raped Ps4 owner that bought the Ps4 for its power. This is why Phil made them kick up the resolution on Diablo III.

Ryse is still the best looking game out, Forza 5 was the only retail next gen exclusive that was full 1080p 60fps, and Titanfall is the best performing FPS you can buy because of the dedicated servers. SO with all its power the Ps4 has provided slightly higher resolutions on some cross gen games an mostly launch titles..... Greatness, a wait.

What happens when Phil Spencer looks at your game and says to you "This is unacceptable. You need to figure out a way to get a better resolution". You will surely care then lol, as Microsoft clearly does.

I have said this for years. If the game plays well on my chosen platform I don't care about the resolution or frame rate. Sure, if I can get 1080p and 60fps then I'm all for it, but you can have a very pretty game and no one wants to play it because the gameplay isn't there. Examples: Ryse (XB1), Destiny (multi-plat - shooter mechanics good everything else bad), The Order: 1886 (PS4 - they may fix gameplay issues with underpowered weapons and on and on before game releases - I hope so).
