Prior to the system’s full reveal, owing to rumors, and owing to Ubisoft’s uncontained enthusiasm for the device, we were led to believe that Nintendo and Ubisoft would be partnering extensively on the Nintendo Switch. And maybe that’s true, but if it is, right now, nothing has been announced. At the Switch launch event, Ubisoft announced a Rayman Legends port, as well as Steep and Just Dance, but that was really it.
However, if, and I mean if, this listing pans out, then it looks like Ubisoft may be willing to push its flagship brand on to Nintendo’s hybrid system, too. The Dutch retailer Intertoys (via Game Transfers) has apparently added a listing for Assassin’s Creed Egypt to its website- which leads to a rise in speculation that the next game could be coming to the Switch too.
Of course, and this is important to note, the listing could just be the retailer making assumptions on the information they have available on their hands- for instance, there is also a listing for Dragon Quest, and while we know Dragon Quest is coming, it has not been announced for the west yet. For now, we should just wait on an official announcement. Retailer listings are often accurate sources of pre-announcement leaks and reveals. This doesn’t appear to be one of those times.
