Assassin’s Creed Unity Developer Working On Some ‘Rad New Stuff’

New IP incoming?

Although we are due to get a new Assassin’s Creed game this year as well (Assassin’s Creed Victory, set in London, has already been leaked), the new game is being developed not by Ubisoft Montreal, but by Ubisoft Quebec, which might actually be good for the series, since it means the developer didn’t have a rushed annual schedule this time around to meet, and, you know, fresh blood and all that.

So what exactly is Ubisoft Montreal doing? According to Ubisoft’s Alex Hutchinson, Ubisoft Montreal are working on something a little bit different. In fact, it may even be a brand new IP (in spite of Ubisoft’s insistence last year that it was done experimenting with new IPs).

“Ubisoft Montreal are working on some rad new stuff, trying some crazy things that [they] hope to announce at some point in 2015!”

So, you know, it might just be the traditional show closer at Ubisoft’s E3 conference this year. We’ll see.

Let’s just hope it’s actually a properly designed, finished product this time.
