The best of the best on one of the all-time greatest consoles.

The Xbox 360 took the world by storm back in 2005. If you were a gamer back in the early 2000s and didn’t have PlayStation 3 console, you probably had an Xbox 360. Microsoft’s almost perfect moves back then invited a lot of great developers and in the process a lot of franchises ditched their PlayStation exclusivity. With that out of the way, enjoy GamingBolt’s picks for 15 of the best Xbox 360 games of all time.

Please note that due to sheer number of games on the Xbox 360, it’s impossible to make everyone of you happy! But please note that this is our list so there is a good chance your favorite game may not be present here.

Dead Space

Dead Space puts the player on a spaceship that is infested with grotesque monsters known as Necromorphs. You were sent with a team of engineers to repair the USG Ishimura, a mining flagship that had sent out a distress signal. The player was put in the shoes of Isaac Clarke, an engineer for the CEC, a trade organization forefronting deep space and solar mining. The game was made to be a psychological horror shooting game and it hit its mark fairly well. It was the kind of game you knew something was coming if it got too quiet. It didn’t help that air vents were the main path for the monsters to jump out and scare the living daylights out of you. The game was critically acclaimed for its writing, polished level design and incredible atmosphere.

The best of the best PS2 games you need to play.

The PlayStation 2 had really flipped the gaming industry on its head when it came down to memorable games. There were so many games released on it that latched onto gamers like leeches. These games stand out in many gamers’ minds as some of the best games to ever grace their console. With that out of the way, sit back and enjoy our picks for the 15 Best PS2 Games of All Time.

Before we move ahead, we like to point out that the PS2 had an insane library of games. So, your favorite games may not be on this list. After all this is our opinion, so please keep this in mind.

Final Fantasy X

You would be hard pressed to find a gamer who hasn’t heard of this franchise, and for good reason. Final Fantasy is a fantasy-based RPG series with a lot of bizarre monsters within its games. 2001’s Final Fantasy X was the first game in the series to make the jump to the PlayStation 2 and it was successful, garnering praise for its voice acting, character development and graphics, which was altered to be more to-scale and less of a top-down view. The combat was also subject to praise as the developers revised the battle and summon system and allowed the player to swap character mid-fight.

With the increase in technology and graphics in the gaming industry, you can look back and see a noticeable difference between games that come from varying years. While some games are in the process of or have already been remade, some games haven’t had their turn just yet, but really deserve it. With that out of their let’s talk about 13 Games That Need To Be Remade. Before we go any further, bear in mind, we’re not talking about a bump up in the graphics department, but rather a complete recreation on a modern system.

Demon’s Souls

Demon’s Souls was a PS3 exclusive game that introduced the Souls series to the world. Demon’s Souls had the player create a custom character and pick a class, then you go off into a fantasy based world to complete missions rife with plenty of creatures hellbent on messing up your day. Combine this with the slightly unforgiving strength of the enemies and the penalty of death and you have quite the combination. But, fewer and fewer people really care about games from the previous generation of consoles, that’s why remakes are always welcome to highly praised games that deserve to be on the next generation.

We absolutely need these monsters in Monster Hunter World.

DLCs can be appreciated if done in the correct manner. It’s a way for players to get new things that weren’t originally available upon the games’ initial release. On January 26th, 2018 one of the highly lucrative assets owned by Capcom hit the gaming industry with storm, that asset being none other than Monster Hunter. World has already seen massive heights as far as sales figures go, so Capcom would be a fool if they were to ignore to make good with that with monster DLCs. Other than the upcoming Deviljho, let’s talk about 16 more monsters we want to see as DLC in the future, hopefully for free.

Before we begin, please note that is our list and our opinion about what monsters should be included as DLCs. Your list will definitely differ, so please keep in mind while watching this video!

Rajang

Starting this list off we have Rajang, a Fanged Beast who made its debut in Monster Hunter 2. Now, if you think this beast looks rather familiar, you wouldn’t be that far off, it does hold a striking resemblance to Blangonga from the same game and it even borrows some of the attacks it. The hunter should be careful while fighting Rajang as it uses electrical attacks, with its most infamous attack being the thunder. This monster isn’t easy to kill and can give even a skilled hunter a run for their money.

These peope need to be taken care of due to the atrocities they have committed.

Most video games have a villain or two that the player strives to beat, maybe they’re difficult, maybe they are just annoying, or maybe the player feels they’re just morally wrong. Sometimes, those bosses make the player unable to wait to get to the boss fight, where the finally get the chance to beat the living crap out of that boss they just hate, and fair warning there ARE spoilers ahead. With that out of the way, let’s talk about 15 Evil Villains You Couldn’t Wait To Get Your Hands On.

Dr. Wallace Breen – Half-Life 2

In the Half-Life series, there was a character known as “The Administrator”, even though you never saw him in person, you probably felt like he’d be a villain. If you had that feeling good on you, as in the sequel The Administrator was revealed as Dr. Wallace Breen, a scientist who was the administrator for the Black Masa Research Facility, during the Black Masa Incident in the first game. Now taking place twenty years later, Breen had sent all available Combine forces to either capture or kill Gordon Freeman. Later on, Breen found himself with Gordon Freeman in his custody and shown signs that he was well aware of the mysterious G-Man’s control over Freeman.

Get ready to get scared in a non-horror game.

You expect to be horrified when playing a game that is meant to startle or spook the player, be through jumpscares that scare the player at the moment, or long lasting suspenseful psychological unease, you knew what you were getting into when you put that disk into the tray or pressed download on your console. But, when playing a video game that isn’t inherently horror, you don’t expect there will be any out of place boss battles that will leave you needing a change of pants. Make sure to leave the lights on and maybe tell your parents to stay in the room.

Ansem, Seeker of Darkness – Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance

The entire premise of Kingdom Hearts, as a whole isn’t the most light-hearted of all games, you are fighting the darkness in people’s’ hearts, after all, most of the bosses aren’t scary though, not to most people, anyway. Ansem, Seeker of Darkness was the main antagonist in the first game and a reprise role in King Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. What made Dream Drop Distance stand out from the others was its branching story path, which allows the player to not only play as the beloved Keybearer, Sora, but also as his best bud, Riku in a big story that links together in the end. In Riku’s side of the story, you fought a lot of enemies, however, without some serious grinding, none of them could have prepared you for Ansem, Seeker of Darkness.

Acting as the final boss in Riku’s storyline, Ansem, Seeker of Darkness was bound to be hard, but what makes him scary? Well, if it wasn’t scary enough that this battle will force the player to grind, or else it is a serious battle of luck, he also has a lot of attacks that can come out of nowhere, if you aren’t right up on him. You may remember his guardian from previous games, well, its back and possibly a bit creepier, it guards him from taking damage in some parts of the fight, and even assists him to deal with the player, then there’s the room you fight in, it is erie and dark, the music does not help either, then there’s the second round that has him encased in his guardian, which is kind of creepy, all the while the surrounding area is even more unsettling than the first round.

Up, close and personal.

Video games have a lot of aspects that make them unique from other forms of media, for example, while movies allow the viewer watch action take place on the sidelines, video games test the player in the skills that they will procure from playing the game. Some games like to use guns, while others prefer a more . . . up close and personal method. With that out of the way, here are 14 Best Sword Fighting Games That Will Test Your Skills.

Infinity Blade 3

Before there was Fortnite, Epic Games was at work on the Infinity Blade series. We’re going to be talking about its third installment for this entry. The player taps and swipes the screen to control their character’s actions, the game also allows the player to dodge, block or parry away attacks, causing the opponent to stagger, this then gives the player the opportunity to strike. There is also magic in the game that is another method of dealing damage to your opponent.

Dying is an essential element of these games.

We all know the sting of playing a video game only to have us slip up and make a mistake or two causing us to die right then and there. Sure, with a lot of games we have the safety of knowing we can simply load up from the last checkpoint or save point and just like that, no harm, no foul. But, it seems like game developers have had enough of that and have started implementing methods to make it so that dying isn’t just a mild inconvenience that only lasts for a minute or so. With that out of the way here’s 15 Video Games Where Dying Actually Means Something.

DayZ

If you’re a fan of zombies and survival games, you have likely heard of DayZ. The game is rather tedious as it requires the player to scavenge for anything and everything, which in and of itself can be annoying, add multiplayer into the mix and you have a frustrating experience. It just ups the annoyance when you die to a player after finding something incredible. The fact of the matter, DayZ starts you off on a clean slate each time you die, meaning instead of starting with everything you had in your inventory or everything in your hot bar, you are thrown into the world with absolutely nothing to your name. Kind of stings when you die to another player who you know was just camping behind that bush for the past two hours.

There is no shortage of survival games in 2018.

Video games can provide a way for your average Joe to feel like a complete badass while staying in the safety of their own home. Some games relish in immersing the player in a calm, serene world where their only task to complete is walking down a road or pathway. But, then there are games that love to make the player’s inner survivalist and paranoia come out.

With that said let’s take a look at 16 upcoming survival games of 2018 and beyond.

Resident Evil 2 Remake

If you’re a fan of the Resident Evil franchise, you may be happy to hear that there will be a remake of Resident Evil 2. Now, for those who don’t know what Resident Evil is, here’s the story: Released in 1996, Resident Evil was made popular for defining the survival horror genre in video games. Meanwhile, Resident Evil 2 was praised for its graphics, atmosphere, audio and more. It was also the most successful game in the Resident Evil franchise. People have wanted Capcom to bring this survival horror series back to its roots. What better way to bring a game series back to its roots than by remaking an old, popular entry of the series, right? No release date has been confirmed to the public for Resident Evil 2 Remake, yet.
