Despite its poor review showings, and let’s be honest, out right bashing; Aliens vs Predator has been doing really well. Well, at least on one island in particular. (I am talking about the U.K.) Yes AvP is now the number one fastest selling game this year. At least according to this twitter from Sega of Europe:

“News just in; AvP is the fastest selling game this year and also no.1 in the all-formats chart here in the UK.“

Take particular not again of a key phrase. ‘This year’ So no, not all time. Yet it still beat out Mass Effect 2. Guess the English (with a big E) don’t like space marines….. Oh, wait.

Sometime in the distant past, in the heralded year of 2005, a game title was announced along with a website. This game, Project Offset, had garnered some interest as the graphics were ‘beautiful’ and intriguing. Some years later the developer was purchased by Intel as there was much interest in the game engine, known as the Offset Engine.

As Project Offset has a rocky past many in the gaming community has written this game off as vapor ware, but now a new video has surfaced. Are gamers still going to be excited by a game that has aged a tad? Well dear reader, you could of watched the video and been the judge. But guess what? The video has now been removed from YouTube, continuing the speculation that Project Offset is nothing more then a persistent rumor and vapor ware.
