After playing Wings of Prey for a few hours I grew tired of the combat and spent the rest of the day trying to fly as low as I could and have a look at the environment and just generally "enjoy flying". The visuals in Wings of Prey make a good backdrop for combat but nothing more.

So I loaded up Far Cry 2 to go hang gliding. Much better visuals of course but the closer you get to the trees the closer you are to landing and the sooner you'll be going for a long boring walk again to get back to the hang-glider launch point.

Then I realized what I really wanted to play. They should make an Avatar-based flight sim!!!! Imagine flying in a shuttle, helicopter, or on the back of a creature and just taking your own sweet time enjoying the sights and sounds of the fantasy world of Pandora. Or engage in aerial battles like the one at the end of the movie. No story needed. You just get airborne and choose to go looking for trouble or just enjoy the view!
